John McClain's voice makes me want to vomit, then subsequently fill my inner ears of that same excrement just so I don't have to hear his raspy, scaly voice anymore. But that's just me.

Speaking of regular 610 callers -- what happened to Dimebag Mike? I remember hearing his first call and then him becoming a bit of a regular and then I haven't heard from him since.

I've never understood why this guy gets so much run. For whatever reason, he seems to think it's his birthright to be the first caller on the post-game show every night and the hosts just go along with it.

Plus, he suffers from a major case of that voice-too-annoying-for-radio disease.

And he's always doing this weird thing where he covers the mouthpiece of the phone in mid sentence. I'm guessing he coughing up loogies or something.

Recently inducted into the SportsRadio 610 Hall of Fame, Dime Bag Mike now resides in suuny Southern California. Specifically, San Diego is where Mikey calls home. He is attending university there and we all miss him and his insane stories about acid, tennis balls, smoking weed, and the like.

    Thats just stupid.

Speaking of McClain, he left Ronnie Brown out of his mock draft. Idiot.

McClain also said it would be at least 10 years before Houston ever got another football team.

Anybody here listen to Michael Savage? He gets pretty steamed just about every show. Seems like that would be a fun show to pull a Crank Yankers on.

Man, I know the draft is big, but it doesn't seem like John and Lance are going to talk any Rockets this morning.

I wake up to John McClain breaking down the draft. That's followed by an interview with new Texan Travis Johnson and now it's the Charlie Casserly show.

IT'S THE PLAYOFFS!! Can't they squeeze in any Rockets talk or was that at 7am?

Yeah, no Rockets talk between 7-8 this morning on the way to work was brutal. Is it becuase they have to admit that they are wrong about our team? I don't think any of those guys want us to win. They just don't care. There was more Rockets talk on 93.7 than 610. "Johnny Football" is on way too much. Ugh. Nothing makes me turn the dial faster.

I did hear Texas Ranger Man the other day. That was funny. :D

They talkes it up the last 40 minutes or so and promises tomorrow would be Rockets intensive. It seemed like an awful lot of football until I heard romey...a natinoal show...apparently the draft is bigger than game 1 of the semis in the NBA. Listen tomorrow.

I turn on 610 for the first time in a long time, it's the afternoon of the second game of the playoffs you know, I want to hear some Rockets talk. But here's what I hear from Vandermeer: 'you know we picked the Rockets to sweep'. guess he was kidding because they picked the Rockets to lose. Then Rich Lord 'well it's just one game." guess he wants them to lose so he'll be proven right. Then Lord goes on to say: "well it was a big weekend in sports and for me the NFL draft is the #1 story, then the Rockets are.. maybe 1A." Click. off goes the radio. damn football hicks.

I guess its a case of sticking with what you know, because they sure as hell don't know basketball.

At this point i think Matt and Adam would be a much better afternoon show. They work well together, and are knowledgeable when it comes to something other than football.

Didn't some Houston talk station begin broadcasting via Internet recently? Can anybody tell me if they're broadcasting sports talk after 6pm, and if so, who's on at that time? Thanks.

Palillo's show on 790? He's on 3-7pm and his show is streamed. That's the only one I can think of.

That's so freakin' lame. It's not as if the Texans had a sexy skills player pick. They picked a defensive lineman. Gimme a break. I thought 610's angle was "LOCAL". Then why do they continue to focus so much on the draft concerning other teams when the LOCAL excitement should focus on the Rockets game tonight and the Astros sucking. I guess that's why I'm not a radio programmer.

Edit: Rich and Vandy just had Capers on and promised a draft "expert" would be coming up soon.
