Wait, so a sports radio host rips a pro athlete? Wow, never thought that would happen. Even though its his job to do things like that, but still. He actually did it.
Who is DeLuca? Is he going to get us 19/gm over a full season? Will he get tmacs knee better? or fix his mental problems? Otherwise, should we care?
I do not know any radios in Houston like Tmac's play right now. This team is bad right now, it could lose any team at any day, and any where. I know TMac is one of the problems, but do not know if it is only one, I do not like Head's plays, but the coach starts him over Wafer. Rafer just sucks since his return to replace Brook, but still play many minutes, and Brook is starting to miss the shots after coming off the bench right now. Rox needs tell the fan what are the problems for the team before we spend more money on it.
My point. What are we getting out of the fact that tmac is taking a tour through the mud via local media? Especially in regards to someone as irrelevant as ted deluca?
I kinda had the same feeling listening to his rant, maybe not 'faking' it, but it did sound as if he was 'trying' to sound pissed off.
His salary has nothing to do with it. If we weren't paying T-Mac's salary we would be paying Steve Francis full salary who has been down and out for years. We won the T-mac for Francis (soon to be retired), Mobley (retired) and Cato (retired) trade don't forget.
Ummm we would of had to have actually resigned them and I somehow doubt we would of signed Francis to a contract like Mcgrady's. Saying we would still have Francis and Mobley still is stupid with the current NBA... if we didn't trade for Mac I am sure there would be another trade between then and now. People who try and say the salary has nothing to do with it are kidding themselves... if I half assed it at work I wouldn't have a job... so why should he?
How will his trade value be higher next year when he will be one year older with the same fragile body and lack of heart he has this year. All signs point to him going downhill mentally from here.
well if you are implying that T-Mac shouldn't have a job, that means we would have to cut him and still pay him his money. No thanks. I would rather trade him than just "fire him" from his job. Not sure what the job equivalent to an NBA trade would be.
Which is why you do the best you can with him and take his 21 mill off the books in 2010 and attempt to re-sign Artest and get some talents through the deep Free Agent market.
Well the irony is that the more people rip on t-mac and the more sportscasters demand he is traded, the lower t-mac's value. I think fans have a problem with the idea that these guys makes so much money and don't play like they appreciate it. Well, i can understand that frustration...but that's not the way it always works. T-mac isn't MJ or Kobe....but ya know what, management should have known that when they paid him all that money. He is what he is, and we still need him. Trading him away doesn't make us better, and that's what Dada needs to wake up and realize. You aren't going to win a ring with 5 shane battiers.
Who cares about 5 Battiers and no ring? We don't have 5 Shane Battiers on this team. To date the Rockets can't get out of the first round of the playoffs with the 1 Tracy McGrady they do have. I'm not saying let's trade him, but don't assume he is going to take us deep into the playoffs. Don't assume he will take us out of the first round. Just hope he shows up enough during the course of the season that the Rockets do make it into the playoffs.
It's much uglier on the inside than on the outside and soon all that's inside will become 'outside' but I digress...and return to where I was before all of this.
