    Excellent News.

If Bonzi and JVG can get past this, so can all of us...assuming he get's in shape and plays hard, well, no hard feelings.

Go get'm Bonzi! It's gonna be a fun season!

I guess Bonzi figured that the trade date in January is coming up and he better play a bit to have some kind of value if the Rockets did indeed move him.

But i would rather the Rockets stick to their guns. If the guy continues to mess around, then just send his butt home don't cut him and let him go at the end of the year. Last thing we want is to cut him and let him go to a western conference team.

Wowowowowow. Amazing! Just on drama this is exciting.

First, good for JVG for not caving in. The truth is we're 14-6, and we don't NEED (emphasis need) him. The Rox have been very successful without Bonzi and it doesn't feel like we're missing any major pieces. I hope both JVG and Bonzi will work to put his behind them and Bonzi will step up and do whatever it takes for the best of the team.

Like others, I'm still not expecting much, but I'm optimistic. Maybe Bonzi manned up and is trying to make a comeback. It's not easy admiting you were in the wrong so he gets props if it's sincere. But he may also just realize that his career is in the tank. This team looks like a contender, which I'm sure made it very tempting to come back. No matter what, you always look better on a good team rather than a bad one. And obviously his stock has dropped tremendously, negating his wish for a fat paycheck this past offseason.

One last thing, how would you feel if you were Tmac, Yao, or even the 12th man who never sees playing time. You're practicing your butt off, and then you've got another guy on the team who wants to just stroll into games. I don't think you'd feel so hot seeing that guy on the court with you acting like nothing happened. I'm just saying if you think JVG is the one being disruptful, think again.

Hopefully Bonzi and the team will be able to put this in the past and make the Rox an even bigger threat this season.

Maybe this was the way you handle a troubled player like Bonzi. Instead of giving into his attitude and unwillingness to be part of the team. JVG did what he thought was going to turn him around (Hold him out). If this is true and Bonzi begins contributing and playing well, then I say A+ on how JVG handled the situation. This gives the right message to players that the organization wants to win as a team and there is a certain way they are going to run this team. Hey I don't think JVG ever called him out and blasted him publicly. Maybe Bonzi called b/c he respects that and finally realize to feed his family next year he needs to be on the court. $ $ $ $ $

He came cheap anyways so it is not like a Maloney contract.

Go Rockets! Kick the Spurs ass.. Hate the Spurs.

That is so funny ..."conditioning" ...they usually will just say "plantar fasciatis" to help a player save face

could have been worse ..they could have listed "obesity" as the reason

Bonzi has all the signs of being a cancer. I'm for dumping him 12:01 am sharp Jan. 2. If I were CD, I would be working the phones overtime to make sure that happens.

I went back and reread all of Luffy's post and I think Luffy would know a lot more what Bonzi is thinking than anyone else on this board. And anyone else who thinks diferently is the idiot. Sad thing is I don't think Luffy will be posting here anymore.

But if you do decide to post again let me ask , If everything works out and Bonzi is back on the team do you think Bonzi will be okay with that. And didn't you oops I mean Bonzi anticipate what playing for Van Gundy would be like before signing with Houston!

If disagreeing with Luffy is to be an "idiot" I dont want to be sane.

But the truly Sad thing is, Luffy will post again and thats truly unfortunate for the GARM's collective "sanity."

hopefully he doesnt come back in the shape he is in that picture (click the link)

    http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/Notes_Wells_returns_to_practi-199677-34.html

HOUSTON -- Bonzi Wells finally returned to the practice court Monday after a month-long absense.

The question now is how soon will he suit up in a Rockets uniform.

Wells practiced for the first time since going on the inactive list on Nov. 7 and could play as early as Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Wells said after his most recent workout that he was happy to be back on the court.

"It felt kind of like home," Wells said. "It felt good. I'm happy to be back. It's been a long time coming. Whenever your love is taken away from you a little bit, you're sad. But I'm really happy to be back and I'm ready to start playing."

After playing briefly in two early regular-season games, Wells was placed on the inactive list to work on his conditioning. He has missed 17 consecutive games over that span.

Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy said after Monday's practice that he and Wells haven't always seen eye-to-eye, but that he's willing to give the swingman a chance to work his way back into the rotation.

Van Gundy and Wells had a phone conversation last week to clear the air.

"I don't think it's any secret that Bonzi and I have struggled to find common ground," Van Gundy said. "We're going to give it a final go."

The coach said that he'd consider playing Wells against the Lakers.

The swingman's return could help the Rockets at shooting guard since Tracy McGrady is being bothered by back spasms and the team is missing Kirk Snyder because of a broken hand.

Wells is slasher who can either drive to the basket or spot up behind the three-point line.

"I know McGrady is hurt and Kirk (Snyder) is down, so hopefully I can come in and fill their void a little bit," Wells said. "I'm going to do whatever coach says. He's the coach and I'm the player. It's all about the team. If he thinks I'm ready to be with this team, I'll be with the team."

Major props to JVG for putting his ego aside and doing what is best for the team at this point after TMAC went down.

LOL! Saw the Moody Blues at that Theatre in the Round in Houston a long time ago. The stage turns, which would have been disorienting, had I not been that way already! :D

The Bonzi saga takes a new turn, hopefully in a direction helpful to the team. He was fat and pathetic when he showed up. Now Bonzi can redeem himself, or not. It's up to him. We really need him, but not at the cost of blowing up team chemistry, which is amazing now. I love it when the bench jumps up and cheers during a game because of a play. Just love it. This team can go far. We just need Tracy to stay reasonably healthy, and we really need Snyder back. And Bonzi needs to quit sucking his thumbs and play like he can. ;)

What MORE FACTS do you want ??

We can forgive him for skipping the preseason training camp due to his groin injury.

We can forgive him taking days off for fixing his root canals.

But what about no-showing on team practices with excuses of "personal" or "family" reasons, but got busted by paparazzi with snap-shots of women sitting on his thighs, and hosting parties when all his team mates were working their @r$e off to gel?

And when was the last time you saw him showing up in Toyota Centre, raving his support for his team mates even if he was not playing?

If only he is as professional, workaholic and team-oreinted as Yao Ming, then I will say he is most welcome to this team. If not, just ignore him.........he will be a cancer to this team....a selfish ball hog who just wants to showcase his own value to get his MAX play from some other teams next year.

I don't like Bonzi as a teammate but I've never understood the vitriol he's received here. He could be the piece that truly makes us a contender this year and the predominant attitude here is "to hell with him".

There's a lot that's gone on that we don't know about. JVG's comment about his playing Bonzi for two games was "a mistake" and "not fair to him" begs for a lot of questions.

Did Les drop some hints? Did Morey want input about how to best bring him along? Did JVG throw a fit?

I'm not blaming JVG in this situation at all, but I definitely believe it's in our best interest to get Wells on the floor and integrated ASAP. T-Mac's injury make this a no-brainer (and the timing is really suspicious - remember Bonzi called before the injury) but it does seem more like a pissing contest to me now and I'm just trying to guess how many people were involved.

The Bonzi haters will probably have fun for a few weeks, but this guy is going to win some games for us this year unless we dump him simply to appease JVG.
