On a last second shot, I don't think even tmac_1 would take LeBron #1. Kobe has a better pull-up jumper, and he has more confidence in that shot particularly late in games.

Now, if there's time on the clock for LeBron to dribble down the floor and attack the basket on a last possession, then there's definitely a good argument in his favor. But if we're talking seconds remaining in a half-court scenario, I'll take Kobe over pretty much anyone. He's possibly the greatest tough-shot maker in the history of the league. You brought up the Miami game in another thread. That's a perfect example -- absolutely ridiculous shot.

I agree with this. If there is like 3 seconds or left I give it to Kobe. I have admitted tons of times Kobe is the better jumpshooter.

But that doesn't happen all the time. There is a reason 82 games has lebron as the best clutch player. I want the ball in his hands unless a jumper is the only thing u can get and Kobe has shown a great knack for hitting tough jumpers although he misses them more often than not.

Who cares what the GMs think, they're just suits. I'd much rather hear what the coaches and players have to say.

    dumb statement.

from 82games.com: they use the stats from games w/ less than 5 minutes left in the 4th, no team ahead by more than 5 points.

Are these the same GMs that voted LeBron the MVP by the 2nd largest margin in history last year?

Nothing wrong with LeBron not being on the list but he didn't even receive a vote.

And how is he not top 3 in terms of getting his own shot?

If he stayed in Cleveland I do wonder where would he be on this list.

Can we see what the GM's said last year?

Any GM not named Pat Riley is biased after Lebron didnt pick their team and essentially killed all hopes of them getting a ring for many years to come, so this statement means nothing.

I really want to know was Melo voted over LeBron in both of these categories last year.

If not then it's funny they would do it this year after Melo team got knocked out of the 1st round and he's requested a trade according to multiple reports.

29 out of 30 GMs failed in acquiring LeBron. But they sure tried.

I can agree to this. Kobe is certainly better at hitting tough shots. Because he lacks the physical tools of Lebron, he's been forced to hit tough shots much more frequently throughout his career.

I think I still might take Paul Pierce in that situation. He is insanely clutch. I'm surprised he isn't getting more love in this thread.
