Whoever is showing a game CBS, FOX ect... usually buy all the empty seats. A game has to be sold out to show on TV. That's why all the Texans games are sold out but the attendance is not always there. It's like that for every team.

No local station has ever had to buy Texans tickets to lift a blackout. That's from the Oilers days.

There's still NFL teams out there who don't sellout and have blackouts. Tv stations don't always bail them out.

Not true at all. That might be true for some teams in the NFL but definitely not every team.

McNair is greedy scumbag. He didn't build the stadium the city of Houston built that stadium which is debt we as a city almost defaulted on. He wants the city to pony up another 10-30 million to build him a HD screen.

That screen could help land the bid to get a superbowl in the city of Houston, creating much much more than 10-30 million dollars of revenue for the city. It can be a major win for Houston, and frankly, a worthy investment.

We worked as runners at the game for people who ordered food in the seats... it was shaking in the kitchen.

Every seat at Reliant is sold. If there are empty seats, people are not using them. The difference between the Oilers and the Texans is PSLs. People have to buy tickets or lose their PSLs. There are people who have season tickets who sit out in Tailgate areas instead of entering the stadium. No TV station has ever or needed to buy seats for the Texans.

The Bengals and Jaguars blackout constantly.
