I was searching the net and came across a 7 minute highlight reel of last season. I thought some you would like to see it. http://hoopscentral.net/video/200203rocketsfinal.WMV
Add up all the highlights from the past four years plus and it doesn't add up to seven minutes...must be some repeats or something...
I was watching a Sports Center interview w/ Donovan McNabb the other day and he was talking about the first 2 losses of their season. He talked about how he was trying too hard to do everyting perfect and forgot to have fun out there. He went out the next game and just played like he always had, he went out and had fun and they have been unstoppable ever since. Anyways, my point is that the Rockets might be trying too hard to run plays. It doesn't seem like their having fun out there, which transfers throughout the entire arena and the city. Even though Rudy's offense was mainly iso, he let them get the feel of the game too. He let them feel the defense and make the play, JVG is so set on running certain plays that the defense begins to recognize them which leads to turnovers. Great Highlights!!
i think you have a great point out there. i cant seem to find the rockets having fun in their games right now. might be because jvg's strict discipline prohibits them to do so. that might be also one of the reasons why our offense sucks right now coz i think the rockets are being held back with something.
Too bad there aren't enough highlights from this year to take up more than 15 seconds. I loved the Yao "dream shake" vs. Indiana. The whole crowd went nuts as each Pacer went up for each of his fakes, then exploded when he scored. As others have said, the Rockets need to start having fun. It's a business they play in, but sometimes you just have to play with your heart and not your head. Well... not all the time.
