Summerfield is about 5 miles down the road; I'll go by and say hello from the fun bunch at CC.net...

Need to see some live footage, but the still shots look good. You don't see the akwardness you might find with someone like Manute Bol. He looks like he belongs on the court.

Scroll to the picture in which he's wearing a yellow uniform, his upper arm is awfully short.

What the hell are you guys b****ing about.

Jesus this guy has tree trunk legs, a strong foundation like Ming. And Plus those giant hands, holly crap that BB looks like a grape fruit, with those monsters who the hell can strip the ball from him even if he is r****ded like Yao and puts it down.

If this kid can make some shots and if they condition his body now at 19 with proper professional nba type training this guy has every bit of a chance as Ming just based on physical disposition.

I hope this kid makes it, if he does the nba will have a 7 foot 8ter that might have a better mental fortitude than Ming. How awsome would that be.

And Sun Ming Ming ryhmes, what a catchy name, I see big bucks $$$$$$$ with this guy if he has Ming's foundation.

    Are u kidding?

From the pictures posted, this guy looks really really akward standing there, like someone not comfortable in his own skin.

Takashi is the only 7'8 player I know of and he's only in video games!

from the stuff I've read, this guy is really raw. However, as long as you don't have any major physical weaknesses, I don't see how you can't impact the game by being 7'8. he just needs the conditioning, the training, etc. He's still relatively young, so he has a shot, if anything, one of the larger factors against him is the change for smaller more athletic centers in the league. but damn, who doesn't want to see a 7'8 monster on the floor?

    It said he's 18 in 2003. Doesn't that mean he's 19ish?

    George Muresoun (sp?)

I used to watch Washington's games just to see him play. This guy sounds about as talented. I remember the first time I saw him I turned on the Wizards (or were they still the bullets?) game and saw this huge guy standing beside this little guy. When they zoomed in the little guy was Patrick Ewing.

Years ago I met Manute Bol at a mall. He is so tall and skinny -- only 1 inch shorter than this dude.

My point is at 7'8" he can make some sort of impact even with limited skills.

I think I found a mailing address for this family in Summerfield. Clean up some of the "ugly" stuff here and I may print it off and send it to them...

    Height ain't everything...

.. but then again, he can't do much worse than many of the other centers in the NBA.
