Maybe so, but Memphis is only offering 2.4 million more then our LLE. Hopefully a SnT can be worked out.

yes it is alot of work, but guess what? Its a game. I dont know how you dont think they are overpaid. Most players dont even give it their full. Take Tmac for example. He makes a boat load of money, but yet confessed about not giving it his all. What is the end result? An Orlando ball club that played miserably. Guess who had to watch those games? The FANS. If that isnt a perfect example of someone being SPOILED, I dont know what is. The reality is that owners and players are spoiled. If an owner doesnt get his new arena, he threatens to leave the city. I hope you know its money out of your pocket that is paying for that new arena. You dont think that is being spoiled? With how much these guys are making NOBODY should be
    complaining or b****ing PERIOD.

With all that said, I still love the rockets and tmac. ;)

The reality is, is that if the Rockets want DS, they are going to have to work a S&T with Portland. And from everything I have read, Portland doesnt want to ADD salary. So that means they probably arent interested in anyone we have. And the fact they just signed Juan Dixon at guard doesnt help us. The Rockets best bet is to find an under the cap THIRD TEAM to get involved in this deal where we send the 3rd team a salary, we get DS and Portland gets a trade exception and maybe a 2nd round pick from us. Maybe New Orleans would like Wesley back. ;)

wow.. so you think tmac does not deserve all that money?

he average almost 40 minutes, 28 points, 6 rebounds, 5.5 assits, and 1.39 steals a game on his last year on a crappy Magic team.. I think he gave it his all given the circumstances..

For the type of revenue T-Mac and Yao are bringing in to Les Alexander -- as well as the tremendous jump in team value in the last couple of seasons -- indicates that both T-Mac and Yao are underpaid when it comes to the amount of money they racking in for the Rockets franchise.

It's all relative, it's a ratio. If you look at all these mid-level talents getting paid max contracts like there is no tomorrow, you will know how underpaid T-Mac is.

Let's put things in perspective before we say stupid things, ok? Hating on those richer and more fortunate than you doesn't really reflect very well on you as a person.

I say good for DS and everyone else: get the most money you can while you can, I know I would!

I would like Stoud to take our LLE too, but you can’t hold it that much against him if he doesn’t.

How many CEOs take a pittance for their work? How many actors work for free after their 10-20-30 mil last movie? How many musicians still want their $3 for each of their five-mil CDs sold.

The real thugs of society are the guys who steal from shareholders, steal from their employee's pensions, and us (tax evasion). Athletes are small potatoes and a minor symptom of a much more damaging plague. At least most athletes (and actors/artists for that matter) only lose their own money.

I think EVERY athlete is overpaid, and when they openly admit about not giving it their all what does that say?

Well said. For nearly every segment of society, it's about money. But when it's athletes, they are "greedy".

Some athletes (like T.O. IMO) go way further than most and can be roundly criticized for it. But DS is just acting like 95% of people would act. That said, athletes who say "It's not about the money" are mostly liars, plain and simple. I appreciate Stromile Swift's comment that money was very important to him before he made his decision. I may end up liking the guy.

You're right, what a sick b*stard TMac is for FORCING all of those nice people in Orlando to pay for those tickets...

We can argue about the morals of a player not giving it his entire effort, but the point here is that as long as there are fans pumping money into these teams so that they can watch them, those teams are going to get the majority of that money, no matter how MUCH it is. If we want to talk about being overpaid, yes, athletes are overpaid compared to the average guy, but we can also make the argument that all NBA fans that attend games are overpaid in their various occupations because they still have money to throw away at a team who might be half-assing it out there.

I agree that there is a ****load of money being pumped into the NBA. But the players on the floor are the product that are being paid for, so obviously they should garner a high percentage of the revenue. Or, we can treat the issue the way that Mr. Garrison treated it: "We treat star athletes better because they're better people." :)

NBA players deserve what they get because they can get it. Anybody that can get what they get via legal means should be able to get it.

And if fans are b****ing about NBA players being overpaid, then who the hell is paying them? The people that support them via ticket, merchandise, etc. purchases. Those sales are made by the players - so the players are bringing in millions. If anybody is helping to bring tens of millions for me, I'm willing to pay them a few million in return. That's where their worth is at - they bring in money because the fans keep buying.

Oh I'm sorry, I was under the impression that owners bought teams to make money and maybe enjoy something that they like while doing it. I guess I was completely wrong and owners have teams just so they can make a city full of people happy.

You sir are a dumbass, quit arguing with people over this. Seriously what is wrong with you? Are you 12? Come on, no one takes less money than they are offered, that is just stupid. A very special few might make sacrifices, but thats it. God damn you kids are annoying.

Do you think that CD has the smarts to orchestrate a 3 team trade? Sorry folks, I'm just not real high on CD. If it don't fall into his hands the rockets are not going to get what they want.
