Another reason I WON'T be listening to the Beast, or whatever geigh name they chose. John and Lance from 6-11 is sweet! No more ESPN crap is THE BEST!! Lovin' these changes.
For how much longer? Almost as sad as the KLOL-thing will be the disappearance of a show with a thirty-year legacy that was one of the earliest sportstalk shows in this town.

me too. 790 is it in the afternoon. Charlie Palillo is the brightest of minds. I prefer smart radio when it comes to local sports 610 still has Rome though. and I'll get to listen to the final hour of Dan Patrick. I'd like to know why some of you hate his show so much? Why is Vandermeer teaming with lord? I personally liked Matt Jackson with Lord. "The voice" is ok, but Jackson is more decisive with his opinions. Matt Jackson is underrated.
Did anybody listen to the segment where Rich read an email from this Miguel guy? Was it our clutch bbs Miguel?
I love the decision of more of the morning crew. I love Lance, he rules. I know everyone on this board loves Charlie and hate his leaving, but the guy never really did anything for me. I listen to 610 pretty much anytime of the day except for late at night and during Rome's train wreck slot, but the only show I really get excited about is the Morning Crew. Incidentally, I think Lance needs to do a show sometime where he speaks entirely as impersonations of someone else. His Dirk the other day had me laughing my ass off on the way home.
It's like Randy Johnson with the Diamondbacks this season. Every other timeslot, I think 610's got the clear edge and should win the fight. But Charlie's gonna dominate whatever matchup he's given, especially against Matt, who's the weak link in a strong lineup (no offense meant).

Did Laura and David have something against each other? There always seemed to be a bit of friction between those two.
That's unfortunate for 610. Dalati is probably the best radio sports reporter (with a nod to Robert Hensley - also on KTRH) in Houston. He has a lot of sources and patterns himself after Mark Berman from KRIV 26. I seriously doubt there are problems between David and Laura since Laura is Charlie's girlfriend. I just think that Laura messes with him because Dave doesn't have the greatest sense of humor.
What was the email? Probably not though, I don't believe I've emailed Rich since before Charlie left. If "Miguel" is ever mentioned, it's more likely to be during the Morning show. I email them daily, they probably don't read it, but I always have something to say.
I agree Palillo is about the smartest mind around here and Matt J is underrated. Matt is very decisive and pleasantly dynamic.
This market is going to get a new, exciting and funny sports personality. I just hope SR610 is where he goes.
The less Vanderbeek, the better. I really need to fix my radio. 610 is definitely going to need my semantics with "he's at the 10... the 5... new wave techno!!! Touchdown Texan's!" idiot boy in the afternoon.
