I captured the entire Matt Bullard interview: http://s57.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3CT7F1TO38X442SDZVDGVQQ829
I really like Bullard's insight and refreshing 'straight forward' talk/comments about the team. This guy really knows his stuff, I think he would make a very good long-term partner for Bill Worrel starting next season, hopefully Clyde won't be around by then. Bull made a very good comparison with our current standing due to injuries and how the Spurs would be affected if they had comparable injuries to key players, he put it something like this: 1) Duncan goes down, let's say that would be similar to Yao going down. 2) Genobili goes down, comparable to McGrady going down. 3) Swift goes down, similar to them losing Horry. 4) JB, DA, and Sura going down with injuries for prolonged periods of time, it would be similar to having Finley, NVE, and any other one of their rotation players getting injured. How do you think the almighty Spurs would have performed given those injuries to their primary rotation players? Would they have faired better than our current record? I thought it was an excellent point, and I think it's irrefutable that the Spurs would have struggled just as much if all those key guys most significant time.
Ditto. If you can capture more audio for us who didn't catch these interviews in the future, you would be approaching Rockets2K status.
You're joking, right? Spurs would still have Parker and Brent Barry and Bowen, with Nesterovic and Mohammed up front. They are so much more credible than this hopeless cast featuring Rybo. Popovich is a better GM. Spurs would also have a coach who has some quality assistants. Popovich has PJ Carlissimo, and Mario Elie. JVG has...Ewing. Popovich has more authority. Popovich also can make adjustments in game and handle substitutions and time outs - unlike our promoted assistant coach. JVG and his roster look terrible by comparison. Bad choice for the boring apologist Bullard.
I've been meaning to ask this. Why is Barry out again? I have missed quite a few games lately due to traveling, but I could have sworn that Barry was back.
I dont get it. Why there are so many people hate Ryan Bowen??? This guy is makin league minimun only. What do u guys expect from him?? Hit a jumper consistently?? Hit the board hard??? If he can does all this, he wont sign with the Rockets! Do you guys really think JVG really want to play Bowen heavy minutes if JVG has enough healthy players?
He tried to come back, yes. But his calf was still hurting, he was missing shots badly, and after a couple of games he just told JVG he needed to go back on the DL for a while to heal properly. So it's a couple more weeks for him before he returns.
I fail to see how a team composed of Parker, Barry, Bowen, Nesterovic and Mohammed would be better than Alston, Wesley, Head, Howard and Mutombo. Other than perhaps championship experience of the Spurs, I'd say that Rockets team might actually have the talent advantage.
If I see a thread here a few minutes before the interview, I'll always try to capture the interview and post it. I'm always doing it from the office, though, and frequently I'm in meetings that prevent me from capturing it. I tried to resolve myself to capturing the Rockets games, compressing 'em and creating highlight clips and game threads like R2K does (I have the hardware to do all that). But I just don't have the resolve that R2K does. He's a phenomenon.
I thought CD pretty much predicted a trade by some team before the end of the weekend followed by other moves next week.
Yea, that's what I heard as well. He said 1 or 2 trades will probably happen this week and things will start heating up next week until the trade deadline.
