Drummer, are "Has Left the Team" the verbatim words you heard?

They just talked about it for about 30 seconds. Mark was saying he hopes this isn't a prolonged absence and Rich just said he hopes so too. They didn't elaborate AT ALL. Then Rich started talking about Baker Mortgage.....

I hope this is nothing. I'll feel like a JACKASS for starting this thread, but that's OK. We need Bonzi!

Dont like that, I was riding in from work and I heard it, if I had been home, I would have started one. I think Mark and Rich  should not have left us hanging like that.

What's wrong is he's a headcase. We shouldn't get our hopes too high on what he'll produce for this team, because he's entirely unpredictable. I'm just glad we didn't shell out a lot of money on him.

I hope the mods changes this thread title ASAP. Or lock it. Or maybe it might be humorous to leave it as is. :D

its probably not serious, maybe to take care of some stuff rather him do it now than during the season, but i was hoping he would play a preseason game soon.

if it was a serious/big story they would have said more about it and/or a major "news" source like espn/foxsports would have something on it

I didn't think that was possible, to just leave the team.

I will cry if this is true.

Agreed. I still don't have a good idea of how he fits on our team, especially since he's missed all 4 preseason games. If this rumor is true and his leaving the team reflects poorly on him, Bonzi's chance of getting a fat contract next year just went from slim to nil.

bozi looks like a guy would miss alot practise for no reason, no coach likes that, especially jvg types

Don't judge him too fast. We need to wait and see why he is missing one preseason game before we jump to conclusions. It's not like JVG would let him go without a very good reason, for example a sick loved one or worse. Ok enough of the sensitivity BS. Also, I wonder why Luther is taking off too? I was looking forward to Bonzi playing Sunday but I guess his debut will have to wait. It is probably best that he miss Sunday's game anyways since I bet he is hardly even in practice shape yet but he needs some games under his belt before the season.

Bonzi is a head case. My guess is that the guy really hates training camp especially when he is making for him minimum wage. He is going to find every excuse to duck a practice and a preseason game, he would probably ask JVG for time off if his dog went missing. Man, I see this guy coming in late for practices and getting multiple suspensions from JVG this season.

Maybe this is a blessing in disguise, he probably won't be ready for opening day. Lets see how playing Snyder as the starter works out, he impressed me by nailing those 2 threes in the Bucks game, didn't think he had that range.
