So, does this mean the Rockets will be getting a C before the trading Deadline. I wonder if they will trade somebody or just use their TE?

So true that Walton is an ass. A pretentious, whiny scab-picker.

And whatever BS Spanoulis was given about deserving lots of NBA minutes right away was superfluous. It hardly matters who told him that. It's clear from his comments that he thought his game was ROY-caliber anyway.

It does matter if he was talked into to coming here by the Rockets when he wasn't truly aspiring to do it. It's called bait and switch.

It's interesting that JVG never answered the question if Billy improved this week. He never said worse or better. He avoided the question and went on about how Euro players being bad when they first get here.

So JVG basically says euro(white) players suck when they get here and he won't play them. It's Bonzi, Head and Hayes all day. LOL

When I hear JVG on the radio, I really like what he says and his candor.

Do I think he is telling everying....no....but he seems thoughtful and truthful.

The Rockets wouldn't guarantee minutes when they were recruiting Bonzi, a veteran free agent with a choice of teams (and this according to Bonzi). They sure as hell didn't guarantee minutes to their own second-round draft pick.

I think V-Span signed long before they talked to Bonzi....

I don't think that's what he's saying. We all know that he rewards hard work and hustle, and rookies have yet to prove that in the NBA. Sura and Berry got tons of minutes two years ago, and you don't get much whiter than them. :D

So, JVG thinks the roster is unbalanced, and that they need another front court player. Clearly JVG is worried about Deke's minutes and Chuck can't play the 5 all the time Deke is out.

I wonder if the Rocket will look to use their TE to get a backup 4/5 instead of going after a PG which is what many of us assumed.

Stephen Hunter is still out there if the Rockets are interested. Philly would GLADLY move him. But Philly's trade of him to New Orleans was recinded last year because Hunter failed the physical. Someone to watch nonetheless.

For your information Euro players do not mean white players. I can think of a number of French Players right off the bat that aren't white.

    Tony Parker
    Boris Diaw
    Yakhouba Diawara
    Ronny Turiaf
    Mickael Pietrus
    Johan Petro

There is also Francisco Elson who was on the Spurs last night, who also doesn't happen to be white.

Your implication that JVG means white when he says European is off base.

Head, Hayes, and even Bonzi have shown that they deserve the playing time they get. Especially Chuck Hayes, and Luther Head.

Well they did something to get him over here when he wasn't too sure about it and they were desperate for off-season moves.

I am not sure I would agree with Bonzi....his defense has been suspect, his offense average, WAY too many turnovers.......and he really doesn't fit in with Yao because he clogs the lane.

But on a Tmac team he can be the low post player....He is not a good 3 point shooter, and we need guys who can space the floor.

I just wonder how Bonzi fits in when Yao comes back.

Bonzi plays when Yao is resting, giving us a low post option. Yao sits down at the 4 minute mark of the 1st quarter. Rockets can then bring in Bonzi to play with Hayes/Howard/or Deke at the 5 for the minutes Yao is resting. Yao comes back in at the 9 min mark of the 2nd and maybe play with Bonzi a few mins until he subs back out. That's probably how it will go, something like that.

Yeah....so he is the 2nd scoring option with Tmac and Yao.... but probably not at the same time.

That's right about when Yao comes back. I meant as things are now with the Rockets. Bonzi has definite flaws in his game, and conditioning.

I guess the point was that the poster said that it was Bonzi... all day. Bonzi doesn't really play that many minutes as is.

I agree...I just wish the team had a high energy guy to come in off the bench and change the tempo.

JL3 can do it on offense, but not on defense.
