The Sura news is heartwarming at best...being that any other player with the injuries that he has sustained would have called it quits by now and begun focusing on a game plan for life w/o basketball. I like the fact that this guy keeps on battling and doesn't want to let go of the game. I think this is good for the team in that other players can see a guy pushing back when he obviously doesn't have to. Perhaps his mentality will rub off a bit on the younger players if he lasts till the season starts. Now, aside from all the mooshy stuff I have just said, I doubt Sura will be effective for this team outside of being an inspirational symbol. His entire suspension system, if you will, those of course being his knees and back, are so worn down, it's a miracle he can even walk. I hope he proves me wrong because at this point , anything will be considered good since he is already being paid. I wonder how long he will last though?
Closing this thread since it's been announced he'll be returning to the Rockets to try and play at least another season (see sticky'd thread at the top of the forum).
