I would do it. Ariza is basically Battier replacement.

Also i'm not sure PHX gets younger...they get Rudy who funny enough was drafted by the team...

They do get Tmac and I think that THEY THINK their medical staff is so top notch that they can make him the Tmac of old...and they probably can they have a witch doctor down there or something.

Nash was 30 when he went to the Suns and they are able to extend guys career...even the most injury prone (Grant Hill) so I thought they'd be interested in Tmac.

It does one thing that may be important to them. Telling Steve Nash that the team is still interested in winning now.

Right now it's unclear to anyone if the Suns plan to keep him 2010 or just let him go, because as it stands now he's ready to win of course.

    starting line up of

    scola
    ariza
    amare
    j-rich
    brooks

and possibly yao coming back at the end of the year. i bet adelman can make yao/amare work better than pho made amare/shaq work.

too good to be true but who knows..

if somehow portland gets jrich and we get rudy, that would rock,

I would love to do this trade, If we can get a healthy Amare on a ROckets team, this team would be scary.

Amar'e is expiring in 2010. JRich is far from untouchable. Same for anyone on the Suns right now. That's why Kerr is meeting with Nash and Amar'e again this week. If neither indicates they are going to resign, they aren't going to risk losing them for nothing. They are going to try and dump JRich's contract on any team if they can.

That would be nice. Richardson can be our explosive 2 and Amare can move to the 4 if Yao ever gets back. I like it but I will miss Shane "the Brain" if he is dealt this summer.

I don't like this trade. The rockets give away too much!

You guys think this is a good deal because you believe Tmac is just an expiring contract and Ariza could completely replace Battier. Be patient!

Interesting trade idea, but since when has 610 scooped anybody in regards to the Rockets? I can't recall an occassion.

I don't think we can afford to have J-Rich's huge contract, I really think we need to stand pat and have the McGrady money to spend next offseason. Joe Johnson anyone?

Amare is the best thing we can get for Tmac. I think a lot of people forget how good of a player Amare is.

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/mZjPnqzq_E0&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/mZjPnqzq_E0&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

He's also the perfect big man for Adelman, i've said this many times even before we were in rumors of trades to get him.

Anything else we are getting for Tmac can't be as good as a 26yr old All-Star.

Agreed. The rockets should be patient to wait for JJ and Bosh next summer.

I doubt it. The Suns have expressed no interest in the Rockets so far.

If Amare was as good as you said, the suns would rebuild around him.

amare is good, but i would prefer to get a player without a history of injuries. especially if we have to rebuild anyways.

Hmmmm. Interesting to say the least. The Rockets on paper would be formidable. I wonder about chemistry issues with Amare, but talent would be no problem. That is a trade that at least appears to help all the teams involved. The Rockets would have speed, size, and some offensive punch. Defensively, probably not as good.

He's not resigning with them. So its not Phoenix's choice.

That works for all 3 teams. Every team gets what they need.

Portland gets the glue guy they've been wanting in Shane Battier. Putting him on Kobe would help Roy out immensely. Plus they don't really need Rudy Fernandez as much as they need Battier.

The Suns get youth and cap releif. Fernandez and Landry are two guys with solid futures ahead of them. McGrady is an expiring contract whose getting paid by insurance up until he gets back.

The Rockets get Amare who is a Center/PF. So I'd feel better with Scola who is also a small Center/PF and Amare instead of a Scola and Landry. Plus the Rockets also fill their shooting guard in Jason Richardson who is a good scorer.

Amare; Dorsey; Cook; Yao (can he get back during season?)
    Scola; Hayes
    Ariza; White; Budinger
    Richardson; Taylor; Barry
    Brooks; Lowry

    I like that team!!!
