That was how it used to be, but if you've been on the forum in the past two years, you know it's all about being defensive and aggressive. The past forum of blind worship of Rockets are gone, I miss it my self but it's gone. Just like Steve. The site like the Rox might be bigger, better but it's also a different creature now.

What part are you not comprehending?

Somebody posted an excerpt from a post on another message board of a news report that could not possibly have been true as far as coming from the source it was attributed to, as it was in fact, not reported on that station, nor was the person who reported it even on the air at the time -- accordingly the thread was locked.

Gosh, all right, I guess you're right. The fact that somebody fabricated a news report, and attributed to a source which it did not, and could not possibly have come from, and then posted it on a message board, which turned out to be marginally corroborated, is ok.

If this true, then by all means, Dreamshake, I encourage you to go to other teams message boards, especially ESPN ones, I hear there's good quality posts over there, and copy them and then start as many threads as you can here. I look forward to reading them! :)

If you want to further debate this issue, I invite you to start a thread in the feedback forum. Until then...

If Lue is heading here (as a backup 1) why bother with this deal? Is Lue (or Ollie) more marketable than Pike?

Pretty sure neither of them are marketable.

If we get both Lue and Gaines, as it now looks like we will, I hope that the Ollie deal is off. Although he's a good back up, with those two guys, I don't want Ollie and his big contract.

esp. with wilks on the team, and maybe fisher. 5 PG's is a little much. in that case i would rather keep pike and his outside shooting. yao and tmac will be getting doubled, that leaves a lot of open shots for guys like pike, fish, lue, boki.

Correct guys, we don't need Ollie and Lue/Gaines. We only need 1 backup not two. Unless they plan on using one as the starter, but I would be disappointed if they did that.

Throw in Wilks and Rox may have the greatest collection of #2 and #3 1s in the whole history of the NBA.

What would be next, a minicamp for back up points?

And there's really only one cure for this situation. Yao and T-Mac have to team up and start racking up the championships. :D

It's gotta be off. Cavs will pick up Pavlovic from the Bobcats.

Stevie boy is not that intelligent.

A smart person will realise that with Steve, Mobley, A Small Forward, Drew Gooden and Cato starting lineup, the magic WILL compete again instantly.

But nooooooooo....ever selfish and low IQ Steve will be the last to see that.

The idea of leaving Houston is what's really bothering Francis, not the idea of joining the Magic... Wouldn't everyone else feel bitter about leaving the soon to be best center in the world?

You are right...Houston can have that effect on you.

But as pro, part of the business that you have to accept as what comes with the territory is trades and teams divorcing player and vice versa.

Fisher opting out and us getting Lue prolly made this deal unneccesary. I'm kind of glad because you never know, Piatkowski could always swing back and make a contribution next year. Every year but last, he was a kickass 3 point specialist. Usually that doesn't just go away. Now we might even be lookin at better depth this year than last, for all the complaints to the contrary.

Pikes day is done... there's not much of his kind in the NBA anymore.

Most guys now have to play both ways... especially if you're gonna be on a JVG team. Even if Pike was dead-on, his playing time would have been limited due to his complete lack of defense.

Think about it... the NBA used to be full of guys like Pike, Bullard, Curry, Ellis, Eddie Johnson, etc.

Now, you have the occasional Voshon Leonard (but even he can play some defense)... but its mostly atheltic guys who can't shoot as well.. but play good defense.

If the deal is off, then Im not sad.

Im willing to chalk up last season as unfortunate for Pike. Got off to a bad start with the ankle injury and just never looked comfortable out there with his shot.

I think he can be an asset. Lets hope he comes to camp with his shot on the upswing.

Man some of you guys are being a little harsh on Steve... He's being forced to move his entire life... Its not like he's getting a new job in the same city that he lives or anything. I've been in the situation where I had no choice but to move to another city (I did it twice). As great as the new cities where they sucked because all I knew was home. It took a while before I started getting used to things in the new cities. Thats what Steve is upset about he looks at Houston the city and the Rockets as a Franchise home. Lets put it this way, if I'm Francis I'd be pissed too. You start talking trade and it usually isn't pretty. Hakeem, Horry, Ellie all pouted when they were being shopped.

With that said welcome home Tracy!!!!!!!!!!!!:D
