Barry is my favorite Rockets after the two stars. Let's see how Yao plays with a natural PG. I really expect that Yao takes his game to the next level with James at point.
You forgot James, not Queen James, though. I don't see Howard on the team in 2 years. There is a slim chance that Barry and Wesley are still on the team if they can still be effective on the court.
You should try watching a game with my mom, all she does is ask me "where is #20? why isn't he playing? #3 is out (the names are too hard for her to pronounce), they should put #20 in. He's a very good player, they should put him in." It sounds funny, but its not when you've heard it like 20 times repeating at you
LOL! hotballa, I was going to mention you mom's love for Barry to SirCharlesFan. It's a funny story. Does you mom know about the Barry family (Rick, Brent, and Jon)? Their a great bball family.
Guys, show some mercy please. She cannot shout 80 times everytime she sees a Barry on TV. That will absolutely kill her!
We're not talking about Mutumbo or Tony Eusabio. Hakeem was born to wealthy parents came here with all his papers intact. He wasn't 26 or something when he finished at UH.
yeah I told her about his brothers and how his dad playing in the NBA, now she wants to know why we didn't keep Drew and how come we let Brent goto "that team with the funny drawing (Spurs logo)". The funny thing about all this is my dad hates Jon cuz he thinks he looks like a convict. Personally, I'm still trying to find out when she suddenly decided that Jon became her favorite player.
LOL! I hear that a lot about people coming from Africa, and for some reason there is (according to a friend of mine who works with African refugees) a large portion of them who fake their birth certificates. I don't think Hakeem needed to do that though, he was well-off in Nigeria AND he would have become a handball/soccer player in Nigeria. That is where all that great footwork came from guys: soccer.
And James will be a role player, just as he is now. Let's not get hung up on the age thing. Look how the team has changed this year. Does anyone really think James will be our starting point in four years?? We got some players who fit great with the team through some small moves this season, and helped ourselves with the cap down the road. Plus, we screwed the Knicks. What's not to like? Maybe Mooch will grow his hair back out, and we can stare at it while he sits on the bench.
