They play it at night, and I HATE this commercial -- the one where the lady opens the door and the guy's like "You're late on the rent again" and she says "I'm doing the best I can" and he says "I can't keep coming back here -- I need some money" . . . "I know. I just don't know what else to do". It makes me feel badly . . . But then I also imagine her saying something like "Well, maybe we can do something in place of the rent . . . our little secret payment"
SPEAKING OF RADIO>>.... Heard Walton and Johnson on the air this morning, looks like they are back up and on the air. Glad to hear them again. Also, I typed in KLOL.com into my browser and it opened up the 93.7 Arrow website?! Automatic redirected.
Ugh, i hate that one too. The one that made me laugh late at night though...was the Tim McGraw/Be a Father ones. I SWEAR it was played 3 times in a "2 minute/4 ad" period. It'd be... McGraw Woman who can't pay rent McGraw then McGraw again! "I'm sittin here with my kids and my wife and everything I hold dear in myyyyy life." Oh...and Granato + ads = funny. I don't even remember what ad it was for (defeating the purpose, heh), but John had one HILARIOUS ad where he was like "hit the breaks....REEEEEEEERRRRRNNNN!!!" Oh man. First time I heard it I was with my friend and we both just started laughing our asses off. And yes, TW&F is great.
Holy Hell. Nikko could wiggle those jumbotrons on the side of his skull and dunk a 15 foot goal. Seriously, I wonder if he can he pull in free XM Radio with those trash can lids? Also, I wonder if they're 22"s or 26"s? Ear bling, biyatch!
I think that's technically a PSA. "Who's at the door, mom?" Jim Gaffigan kicks ass. "Welcome to New York" was a vastly underrated show http://www.jimgaffigan.com/home.html
Hated commercial? How about Vandy telling me he is an "above average golfer" in the spot for the Houston National Golf Course. What makes him above average exactly and why is he telling me this?
LOL, you are completely right Miguel!!! I love the Todd Wright show, but the commercial breaks are killers. The Tim McGraw ones are hilarious. But I know you feel my pain on these -- the "Make a Wish" commercials. I've heard about the guy getting the equipment to make a movie so the famous actor wants to be in a movie with him, and the girl making the CD -- "You better not forget about me when you become famous" . . . AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!
I was wondering about that. I didn't realize it was you, but I enjoyed the slurred speech. Not sure if the betting company would approve, but who cares.
Like OMG, WTF was I thinking in not getting Firefox sooner! My whole world has been turned right side up!
I used to like 610 a lot but I just stopped trying because literally 90% of the time I turn it on, there is a commercial playing. This is not an exaggeration. It might just be I always tune in at the wrong time, but it got so freaking annoying that I just got satellite radio.
Satellite radio is awesome. I like the local spin on stuff from the callers and hosts so I'll tolerate some commercials to get it. And that's from Chance the listener not Chance the executive producer.
Yes, that's my #1 hated commercial. Fortuneatly, it's not on that often. Chance, what ever happened to the female version of the "Everybody Riiiides!"? Did listeners complained or the sponser complained?
I was pissed when Granato stopped doing "EVERYBODY RIIIIIIIIIDES!" . It may have been annoying to some but it was goddamned funny.
Any commercial Vandemeer does in his radio voice. cheesiest "For a weeeellll traaaiiineeed doooggg, call maaaannn'sss BEEESSTTT FRIEND"
