At 6'-9" T-mac can play the 2 or 3, even though more suited offensively and defensively at the 2. Gaines can play the 1 and the 2. I take it the Pike for Kevin Ollie deal is off, since we've aquired two points from Orlando. Also, JJ can play the 2 if need be. Lue/Gaines/Wilks TMac/Pike/Gaines Jackson/Boki/TMac Howard/Taylor/Spoon Yao/?
This is AWESOME. I havent been this excited about the Rockets in the offseason in a long time. Barry or Snow would be cool too. Only 4 months till the season starts!
My friends and I are true Rocket fans we really want to go to the press conference but we got no ride. So could somebody please give us a ride, PLEASE, i beg you, help us please, we'll be checking the forums like every 5 min. so if you ccan please just tell us and we'll give you our information. We live in Sugar land, in Commonwealth, 1 other friend lives near the blockbuster on highway 6. Once again, we will greatly appreciate it. Thanks
wow!!!! let's party ! btw: ok, so just how bad a deal maker is CD now? .....very nice comparision chart in chron today. 2 out of three being b or better has to be be better or as good as league average I say. CD you still got it...and hat's of the Les for being the kind of owner he is...a winner !
The deal, which had been rumored for nearly two weeks, sent McGrady, forward Juwan Howard and guards Tyronn Lue and Reece Gaines to the Rockets for guards Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley and center Kelvin Cato. thanks to chicago sun times http://www.suntimes.com/output/basketball/cst-spt-magic30.html
I apoligize if this has already been addressed, but what is that status of T-Mac resigning with us? I thought it was a given that this would be agreed upon before the trade happened, but I haven't heard anything about it yet.
This is one of the greatest but saddest days to be a True Rocket fan. Great: T-Mac Sad: Cat Mobley/Steve Francis
publically the rockets haven't been able to comment on it the past few weeks but i think its safe to say they had in depth conversations about it. The trade wouldn't have been made without assurances from Tracy. At the very least he doesn't opt out and he's here 3 years. I think you'll see Houston come up with a max offer sometime in the next few months that'll wrap him up for 7 years.
I'm sure it's one of the trade clauses and will be taken care of before the start of the season. If T-Mac balks (99.9% chance of not happening), the trade will (probably) be rescinded.
I personally can not give you & your peeps a ride, but you have alot of options to get to the Toyota Center for cheap I would assume. I would think that it would be safer (rather than begging a random person on this wonderful Rockets Fan Forum for a ride) to just take a taxi, the Metro Bus, or the Metro Lightrail. Or maybe a combination of all three? Hmmmm?
I think we're gonna get Derek Fisher. I read on cnnsi.com a couple weeks ago that he expressed interest in signing with us. He's a perfect fit: 1. He's played with a prolific scorer in Kobe and a dominant big man in Shaq 2. Won 3 championships 3. Always plays his hardest 4. killer from three point range I'm assuming we won't be able to sign Rafer Alston, Brent Barry is too old, Van Exel isn't a pure pg, we should go with Fish. What kind of money do we have left to spend on free agents? Because while we have a very good team now, I don't see us being true title contenders until we get some more depth. But we will be very exciting to watch.
Thank you. we got a ride!!!!! we're taking a taxi..we got a 50% discount lol. 20 bucks. GO ROCKETS!!!
USA today internet poll has 73 % saying Houston got better end of deal, 27% saying Orlando. The people must have not been big Francis fans.
