Uh, what happened to the thread? That being said, by rimrocker's standards, I am indeed a solid 1. TiVO? Yeah, that was me. Anyways, can someone please recap DD style for those of us who can't play audio right now? Pretty please? PS I realize that there is a semi-recap already but I'm pretty sure Morey said more than that!
Here's a recap: 1. Morey's trip to Europe: watched games in Spain and Greece, good scouting over there. 2. Break in the schedule: good to get one game in seven games, given aches and pains; gives chance to integrate Kyle after the trade and work with Aaron as the starter, tweak things for the playoffs. 3. Areas to improve: Best defense in the league since the trade, still figuring out things on the offense (getting the ball to Yao, working Ron into the offense, working on getting shots they want late in the clock) 4. Resigning Ron: Both sides want Ron in Houston, but there's still a lot of things to accomplish to make that happen. 5. Status of T-Mac: Doing well after micro-fracture surgery, working with docs in Chicago and Houston, starting to move around on his own and has been to a couple of practices. Won't be able to judge his prognosis until June or July. 6. Too much time between games this week? Not a problem, Rick keeps the team sharp with practice and gives the team time to rest. 7. Some BS about the Spurs resting Duncan for the playoffs, to which Morey talked about their playoff seeding chances since San Antonio lost last night. Need to win 5 of the 8 last games to guarantee home court. Things kind of go downhill after that. Not much Rockets talk. They talk about Dwight Howard and the MIT Nerdfest thing, yada yada. Rumors that Bynum might be back in the second round in the playoffs.
Great recap dude, thanks a lot! I didn't know that we had the best D in the league after the break, I think that's quite the achievement. Hopefully some of the bloggers out there read about this and let the world know of our greatness.
I LOL'd when he said 'We had Gerald Green over for coffee' when he was listing the recent 'dunkers' that have been on the Rockets recently.
yeah we should have kept Alston so we can win the 3 games we play against the suns every year, forget the other 79 games...
get out and join Magic's bandwagon, as long as you love rafer that much maybe even more than your wife. Alston used to do pretty good on our team but his good time was in 06-07 season, since then Rafer has been straggling by 3 inches per second from his prime. It's a good option for Daryl to trade him away, just like all the other moves he has made. Lowry is still unproven but I bet he will have a better career oval than Rafer. Rafer's house is on street but not in the gym.
