I'm getting really tired of the Rockets organisation and the whole situation with Tracy. From Leslie Alexander down to Rick Adelman, everybody has done a poor job with Tracy this year. A good organisation and coach would take measures when any player, "all-star" or not, come in at the beginning of the season out of shape. It doesn't matter he had surgery, he did not rehab so therefor should be forced to sit down. He has hurt the team 90% of the times he's played this year so never should've played in the first place. A heavy fine would do some good too maybe.

Then when he was trying to play one night of a back-to-back, decides to play on the day itself etc, RA or whoever should just sit his ass down !! Again a fine would've definetly been in place when he decided to leave his teammates out to dry in Toronto, Milwaukee etc. Hold this guy responisble for his freaking actions, he's no God, he's no saint, he's just a freaking basketball player who's been babied by every organisation / team / coach he's played for. Now, mainly the fans and teammates of Tracy have to suffer the consequences which is a real pity.

I hope Tracy is really out for the season and if not, gets fined for his stupid remarks to Steven A. Smith, is forced to rehab and try to come back for the play-offs or next year but he definetly should not play anymore during the regular season. He shouldn't even be allowed to play in the playoffs for the way he's been behaving but Leslie loves this guy so much it's not going to happen.

I was so happy when he was out, now I'm bummed.... :( This guy, with some help from Leslie, RA and more, are ruining what should've been the best season since 96-97 !!!!!!!! If some1 is traded, please let it not be Artest.....it seriously looks like Ron will be the scapegoat which is least to say unfair.

Tmac: I'm out for the year, you won't be able to trade me.

Team: No you're not, so yes we can.

shemac is a moron just a week or two ago h was on channel 2 saying im back to my old self. and told everyone that was off the bandwagon they made a bad move. she mac is a has been and needs to be traded asap. people say artest is the cancer of the locker room yea right. why does it seem like all of the rockets hate him now. battier pretty much came out and told the media that when the ball stoper (shemac) is out of the game and the ball moves around we all have confidence. leslie its time to get off of shemacs B@lls and trade the low life scum.

I don't think T-Mac has thought it through this far. He just wants an out. If he blames his performance this year on injury rather than his FAILURE to do the damn rehab like he was supposed to, he'll have an excuse not just for his own justification but for his legacy in the minds of the media.

When his career is over the pundits will be able to say, "He could have won many championships but injuries just derailed his career," rather than, "He had all the talent in the world but didn't have the mental psyche to fulfill it. He quit on his team when they needed him most." It's just the same thing for a trade--at this point it would be an admission of defeat on the part of the Rockets, that the McGrady era didn't work, and he doesn't want to go out like that.

The reason Morey and Les don't want to trade TMAC by my estimation is twofold:

    1. Before the mega super uber ultimate free agency summer of 2k10, TMAC's expiring of 23 mil or whatever will be tremendously valuable - much more so than it is now. You don't sell something of decent value now when you know the value will be enormous in the near future without getting a very very good deal.
I am quite frankly surprised that this point is not being raised more frequently.

    2. TMAC may yet play through the pain and come up with a herculean performance when the team needs it. Look at game 6 last year - he played like a man possessed for almost three quarters - the jazz could do nothing to stop him. It wasn't enough without rafer or yao, but the man can play hurt and play well.

All of the "TRADE TMAC NOW" calls seem short-sighted to me. Let Morey do what he does. The man is pretty smart.

Thank you, point #1 I've been saying for a while now. Although I'm not surprised that this point hasn't been brought up more often, the majority of the people on this BBS just want him off the team, no matter what the cost is to the teams future. This is the reason why Morey is he GM of the Rockets and we're not...

T-Mac's latest official blog entry is that he will be getting microfracture surgery "immediately".

Obviously Tmac is out of control now. Please shut it down and get rid of him in the offseason.

I can so imagine T-Mac in his own basement trying to give himself microfracture knee surgery while the phone is ringing in from the front office to tell him he's been traded.

Thanks! That's a terrific recap. But......

I wonder if Morey actually copied a lot of these from Feigen's blog. :D :D

Man I hope you're not joking. This is great news! Go Tracy, and good luck in your return. It's a giant if, but if he can ever get reasonably healthy, our window for the championship hasn't been sealed just yet this year. I believe!

I posted that before Tmac announced it on his blog...I can't believe the Rockets org was left out in the cold on this....says a lot in how little respect Tmac has for them.

Can we still trade him when he is out of the season?

T-Mac is still tradeable if he's seen as a 2010 expiring contract. Teams wanting to ditch 2010+ contract/s can waive the physical for the trade to go ahead.

Very valuable indeed. Imagine how much the Rockets can improve with all those contracts teams will be trying to dump then: Zach Randolph, Tinsley, Troy Murphy, Radmanovic, Nazr, Diop, etc...
