    Yep, yep, yep.

Credibility just flew out the front door like a cat in heat. Talk about shooting your foot off.

Alston+Butler+Reed for JHo would trim the roster.

I like Juwan! He is just like a big brother. If he comes back. Rockets will get MJ for free. But his contract is too big! He won't be back I think.

not true...it was only addition by subtraction because he was costing us that much...it doesn't hurt to add a little depth at the 4 if we get him for the minimu...why the hell not?.....i'm not saying he should play major minutes but as a backup or for 10-15 mins a game why not...he can hit that 10-12 foot jumper....and you have to plan on having depth if scola or hayes get injured.....

i'd take juwan back knowing that chuck and scola are splitting all the time at pf. he'd have to be happy having a truckload of DNP - coaches decision and only getting in on a blowout or in case of injury. i don't want to touch him if we plan to play him significant minutes, like more than 5.

he's a great leader and locker room guy so it'd probably be beneficial to have him
at the end of the bench.

Nothing better than cheap insurance. Good chemistry and a decent jump shot. That's it... but at the minimum I would do it.

Still need to find a new place for Rafer and Suras expiring contract.

yup. And if you consider that if howard does get on the court as a rocket he will more than likely be playing the high post (which he is solid at b/c of his mid range shot and he's a pretty solid passer) and he will be surrounded by the likes of bonzi, francis, james, etc. All of which will be cutting to the basket

After the back-to-back titles, I had "Olajuwon" tattooed on my manly part. The problem is when I'm not excited, it just says "juwon."

    :(

Like people stated earlier in the thread, Reed, Landry, and Harris are projects. We have the most talent and experience that we've had in years and theres no time to develop projects. Sending them to the D-League won't help either because they'd still occupy roster spots. Convince them to go to Europe so we can retain their rights and bring them here if and when there is a need for them. They will develop better that way rather than sitting on our bench. This will also help us trim the roster to 15. I say lets chase CWebb first and see if he'll take the vet min otherwise pick up Juwan. Juwan is also a vocal leader more than tmac/yao and some of the better players on this roster. I would gladly accept either of these Juwan/CWebb as a third option for 1.2 million. Who wouldn't?

Sooo much history with all of these players.....

    Mike James traded for Rafer
    Francis traded for McGrady
    Francis traded for Howard
    Howard traded for James

I don't know if I'd call it "history" as much as "drama"...

Only Landry will be sent to the D-League to develop. Reed and Harris are simply training camp players brought in to compete for jobs, but are longshots to actually make the team.

Haha awesome! We just need Jim Jackson, and we'll be whole again. That guy was solid. I don't know why we ever let him go, especially since JVG had a love affair w/ him.
