nah man, the rockets only take juwan back if he got bought out my the timberwolves and agree to the veteran's minimum. if he doesn't he can take a hike.

Actually, Juwan's contract might be useful... after this season, it's 7.3 million dollar expiring contract. You know how coveted big expiring contracts are. It might make a good trade asset... Imagine a big expiring contract packed up with a talented rookie. That could even net players like Camby from lux-desperate clubs.

you don't take juwan back for over $14,000,000 for 2 years, expiring or no expiring contract.

thats the funniest thing ive heard in a while.

the whole talk about juwan is if he is released, not what do we trade for him.

I see nothing wrong with having Juwon back for the minimum.

We could pay Stephon $40 mill to have his expiring $21 next year, but I'd take a pass on that.

Juwan only if at the minimum, and only if we can't get a better option via a 3-for-1 trade involving Rafer/Head/Reed.

Yeah, we would have to gut the team just to match salaries in the first place.

I'm still holding out hopes for some kind of Camby or Artest deal. I won't hold my breath though.

no way do you trade back for juwan (i dont tihnk its possible anyway) but i wouldnt want to take that salary back on.

if he is bought out and is willing to sign for the vet minimum then you definitely take a chance with him. but it took so long to get rid of that horrendous contract no way do we take it back like that.

Yeah the trade idea is ridiculous.

Only if we could somehow get him for the vet minimum would you even consider bringing him back.

But I still point to the difficult decision about who to let go if you bring him back.

    Just doesn't seem viable.

Rafer, butler & reed for howard?. no thanks. i wouldnt even trade a good young prospect like butler for a washed or semi washed bum like juwan.

The only reason i would hesitate to resign juwon for the min is the sheer number of players we already have under contract. it would be a death knoll for carl landry.

Rockets would be trading 8.35M for 6.88M. In the long run they are ditching 22.63M for JHo's 14.26M. Considering none of these guys are starters IMO it's a good move.

Butler is entering his 4th year. Each year he's less "could be", and more "never will be". Morey doesn't think he is good enough to backup Yao and that's what counts.

If Deke says 'No' and RA wants him as a b/u high post 5 and JuHo says 'Yes' to vet's minimum then, sure, maybe.

I'll go for Webber if we're going to sign a cursed Michigan player...

The point is that a trade for him is ridiculous. His contract is an albatross. The only plausible scenario for bringing him back would be a minimum signing.

And I think we both agree that that's a questionable move even at that.

    Irrefutably questionable.

When and where did Morey say that he doesn't think Butler is good enough to backup Yao?
