First of all I think that this trade rumor is BS. But still I would do the trade. Artest was occasionally the best player on the Pacers team last year. When his head was right he could stop just about any wing player in thie league. Harrington IMO is about to break through. He had a few big scoring games last year. In addition, I think that Cat is bound to lose his starting job in JVG's system. We might as well trade him when his values are still high. Cato played great last year, but he's still making 7+ mil a year. Finding a capable backup center could be difficult, but you have to think that Yao will be ready to play 35+ minutes per game next year.
We already have two power forwards that cant grab rebounds and you want to get Drobnak... i dont think so....
It may be nonsense, but it makes sense to me (getting AH and RT for CM and KC, or some similar etc's).
While any sentence that has "Mobley" as the subject and "traded" as the verb generally gets me excited, I never understand why a fan post on a message board somewhere else is used to report something here. Every time a radio report in Houston actually says something noteworthy, it is on this board within seconds. In fact, there are usually 3 threads on average created about it within a minute or two -- that's how on top of the radio/TV scene the BBS fans are. How many threads were created every time Nick Van Exel was spotted wearing a Rockets logo T-shirt on MTV? I'd say 5-6 easy. Anyhow, no one heard this "report" from 610 .... and it's the kind of thing they would repeat, you know? With that said, I'm always fascinated to see where rumors get started. It looks like this one started on a bogus website's "rumor mill" on Sunday. http://www.basketball.com/cgi-bin/posters/printPost.cgi?category=fprightfeature3&at=nba1.shtml No one I know has heard anything about this, which alone doesn't make it false ..... but the fact someone attributed it to 610 makes you realize that that is probably the case. It's probably garbage someone made up and was trying to push out there. Though, ironically, it's eerily similar to the rumor I tried to make up last year. Maybe this is a bastardized version coming back to haunt me.
