I think he checks it during commercial breaks. Unless he's getting bombarded, he'll probably reply.

Hell, we're probably better off waiting until about 9:35 and watching Fox News. Berman would mention it if there's any truth to it.

Ewing? Francis? Artest would beat the crap out of Francis man..yeah...well we have JVG....Artest messed with Pat Riley one game.

Well I like this trade because even though Artest is crazy, he is actually more efficient than Mobley according to the efficiency rating at NBA.com.

But I don't think it is true. I hope it is not though because Mobley is one of my favorite players. Artest is one of the best defenders and intimidators I believe.....but he needs to be able to make 3's consistently.

Harrington and Artest for Mobley and Cato. YES! Does it work on RealGM?

Still....I don't believe this is true.

It's not true. But since we are dreaming.....Rice and Griffin for SAR.

    Francis/Moochie
    Artest/Piatkowski
    Harrington/Griffin/Nachbar
    SAR/Taylor
    Yao/anyone

this guy is posting this same crap on the real gm board under the name bigmo 04 with a link to his espn thing.

Cuttino Mobley is too much of a baller to be traded.

I dont think this is true.

We know for a fact that Pacers wanna trade Artest and Harrington. We also know for a fact that Van Gundy is a defensive coach and would love a Artest type defender. We also know for a fact that the Pacers are in desperate need for a center. Given the time and put in the eastern conference, Cato could arguably be one of the best eastern centers. Maybe right behind Wallace for that matter. The trade makes sence. It also provides us with a legit young small forward that we need.

We still need another center if this deal is true.

WTF? Nobody on this entire board even heard that on 610? I guess we'll at least know for sure when y'all Houstonians watch Fox 26 tonight, Berman wouldn't let a story like this slip past his being able to break it.

How are you so sure he will report it. This is trade talks, nothing happened yet. Fox Sports only reports the facts, not the maybe's

Unless there's a third team involved, Artest's BYC status kills every combination that I can come up with.

However, since your post said, possibly Cato & Artest were involved, that leaves other options open. Such as this trade:

    Houston sends Mobley/Griffin to Indy.

Indy sends Harrington/Tinsley/Brewer(expiring contract) to Houston.

Now I'd do that. Slide Francis over to SG & voila'. :D

To me, that sounds like you're trying to find a way of keeping this bullsh!t thread alive past 9:30 so you can continue to get your giggles with our fanatic responses.

Edit: That was DallasThomas that said that, not meggoleggo. I keep forgetting to log her out whenever I use her computer.

I can see how this deal greatly improves the Pacers as a team, but
I just don't see how it would make the Rockets *BETTER*.

Yeah, it would definitely make them different, but to me it seems
that the only team which would improve with such a trade is Indiana.

It's too bad the Pacers don't have a crappy, yet somewhat decent bigman to throw in the mix. Jeff Foster is pretty bad - didn't the Pacers just get Scot Pollard - I wouldn't mind having him if healty, although I'm sure there are restrictions on trading him again so soon.

There are enough posters on this BBS that listen to 610 all the time that SOMEONE would have started their own thread about it or confirmed it by now. They just don't drop stuff like that offhandedly and not have one of the 10,000 posters hear it.

The guy that posted on the ESPN forum is bull****ting.

Around 4 million dollars. Don't know if that makes a difference or not. Maybe you can tell me that. :D

    Here's a link:

yeah, yeah I know. Doing research for a most likely bogus rumor. But still, this is the exact deal I've been hoping for since before the season ended.

Foster is actually a decent backup center.

Yes, he is and he is somewhat local, as he went to Southwest Texas State, or whatever they changed their name to.

    So you're making this up?

Well does anyone remember JVG saying anything about Artest when he was a TV analyst?

No one will mess with Francis with Artest back there. The change instantly makes Steve much much better. JVG is the perfect coach for Ron. It's a great match.
