This move was announced either yesterday or the day before. Both are right at the edge of reception here, though those closer will probably hear the new signal better. It's just the nature of AM and FM pros and cons and I happen to live where the pros and cons meet. I do not know the details of the move, but I start with the expectation the only difference will be the broadcast signal itself. I think I heard 610 will also carry the signal and it might be a duel signal arrangement with no distinctions in programming, but it might have different marketing and/or target audiences with different sponsors. As long as I still get the game somewhere on the internet, I'll be happy. If not, I'll find something like Game Day to follow my team. Will this affect anyone else?
According to the news article I read earlier, it will just be a simulcast with 610am and 95.7FM. I think you can also listen on houstontexans.com.
I get the internet sight which pulls up Iheart when at home, but I try to listen in the car with the broadcast signal. Both are affected by weather and proximity to distribution electrical circuits in the way usually only affected by Transmission lines. My local broadcast station [KOGT 1600] for games stopped broadcasting a few years ago and is trying to go podcast, but it's closer to a neighborhood watch now days.
It`s about dam time, I am tired of listening on AM and the audacy app sucks for me.............PS, 610 started doing shows on the weekend from 12-2, I appreciate that over the National guys
I actually enjoyed The Spot they should have picked a different FM station. Now that I saw that 95.7 is going back to KIKK letters I'm going to have find me a Proud to be a KIKKer bumper sticker.
