However, according to Cosmo, the terms of the plea place him on probation until his 21st birthday. During that time, he cannot use the internet without prior consent from his parole officer. Nor will he be allowed to use the Internet in an unsupervised manner, or for any purposes other than education-related ones. He is required to hand over all of his account logins and passwords. He must disclose in writing any devices that he has access to that have the capability to connect to a network. He is prohibited from having contact with any members or associates of UG Nazi or Anonymous, along with a specified list of other individuals. He had to forfeit all the computers and other items seized in the raid on his home. Also, according to Cosmo, violating any of these terms will result in a three-year prison term.

What would you do if this happened. Need to find movie times? Need to find directions? It is just hard to imagine a world without the internet.

How do you get free p*rn without internet?

Guess I'd have to go back to stealing it (do people still own DVDs/Mags), which seems counter to what probation would want me doing.

Find movie times? Call movie theatre.
    Need directions? GPS

6 years would be a long time to go without it, but I remember before the internet. I didn't use the internet for anything constructive until about 2003.

Eh, I went 16 years 2 months and 14 days without doing the nasty. I think I could manage that easier than no internet.

No sports would be just as hard, they are my primary reason for the internet.

He can use the internet but has to be supervise and/or approved.

How can a hacker be banned from using internet? What is internet? Is using a computer by itself using the internet, while the computer has network capability?

Punishments like this won't even make sense in the near future. It will be like banning the use of electricity.

Anyone over 30 should know how to use the yellow and white pages, go to the library to get last weekend's newspaper, use a Metro route map, or to call up a business and politely ask for the "cross streets."

If I had to choose between internet or sex (real or cyber, doesn't matter), I'd probably choose the internet.

It's hard to believe how much it has changed the way I run my daily life. My mind can't fathom going back to to snail mode for everything. Having to wait till the 6 o clock news, or waiting for espn to run a sports story. It would be torture to live without the internet.
