Surely you jest, my dear OP. It's funny how none of you T-Mac haters were on him when he was carrying the team last season. You aren't even giving the guy a chance to come back and gel with the team. No way this team is better without T-Mac, just ask the Spurs.

Eddie Jordan, rest of the reporters, all say Rockets are a better team without TMac. Not only that, Rockets are even more fun to watch without TMac. Everyone just stand around and watch when TMac is on the floor.

Sorry TOFs, it's the truth. Truth hurts, doesn't it? ;)

We do NOT need TMac on this team to compete with the elite. We need additional talent other than Yao. TMac is the most immediately available resource, but he is not the only option.

It is true that TMac > any single one of those scrubs.
But "at the end of the day," TMac <<<<< those scrubs playing as a team.

Eddie Jordan said the Rockets are quicker, he never said that they're better. Sorry, try again.

Let us not forget the fact that other players are finally making layups now (Hayes, Scola (did not miss too many, but he is way more consistent with his shot), Rafer, LUTHER, uhm, anyone else, Brooksy, too). Be it for whatever reason, it is true. No matter what offense you are in, when you have guys missing wide open shots, you are gonna struggle. What did we do during our time when we lost 12 of 18 games? We shot poorly. Call it whatever you want (mcgrady disturbing offense, or whatever,) at the end of the day, we had guys missing easy wide open shots that they are making now. There should be no pressure to make them when McGrady comes back. I still see big things from Alston and Head, since Adelman said he plans to ease McGrady back in.

Yep, end of story. The teams we have played during this stretch have some of the worst defense I have ever seen. Let's hope we can continue against solid defensive teams. Hornets should be a really nice test next week.

I do have one concern, but hopefully they will fix it. I have noticed lately that the Rockets have been playing swarming defense. I think McGrady will join in; he is usually one to go for easy pick-offs and blocks. It should be fun to come.

Interesting. I do not buy it, but it is interesting. I will agree with some of it, but not McGrady saying "if he plays, I don't." I do not know. Perhaps there IS some things going on that we fans do not know about...

Hey everyone, i don´t know if some of you are in love with T-Mac and other have been victims of affairs by him, but it´s quite time to cut the crap.

If the team beat good or bad teams.. If T-Mac played.. If Scola and Rafer defers to T-Mac...

    Stop the ifs...

Fact is we WON 6 games out of 8, Fact is with T-Mac this team was playing like crap lately and now we don´t, Fact is that the role players are playing much better without him, Fact is that now even Yao Ming seems more comfortable in the offense.

And Fact is before the "weak teams" run, after Philly i wouldn´t say that we will go 6-2 so easily, neither did many of those saying "we beat weak teams anyway"

So why don´t we wait, patient, until T-Mac is back, i hope he feels a lot of presure to:

    A) Play hard Defense
    B) Fit the offense
    C) Do not harm the team chemistry nor offensive flow

If he can´t do that, we better trade his ass as far as we can and for we can get..

Enough opportunities have been given his way, the guy is paid (yes the Rockets are not his hobby) for this guy to represent them on the court, so he has to do it the RIGHT way, not HIS way, so he better learn, better adapt, better embrace his teammates without air of supremacy, because i think many fans (not only me) are quite pissed about him and some suspicious news that are going around lately.

Whoever gets the Defensive rebound needs to throw it to the PG, then, not to the big guard, otherwise, he'll walk it up and maybe jack up a 3...

We are quicker in ballmovement and cuts and fastbreaks, because the team is more in sync and they've found a chemistry.

Now, they're playing better 'team ball' - but that doesn't mean that the team playing now would not be better if TMac was integrated into that type of play and playing 'team ball' with them...

They are getting plenty of open shots through ball movement and inside-out Yao kickouts and cuts... Tmac no longer has to get doubled for a guy to get an open shot; Tmac has to notice this: there are other ways for teammates to get open/good shots other than for the offense to run thru Tmac.

This team is just getting warmed up; it's up to RickA to place TMac seamlessly into that flow, cause whatever's going now is working.

Since we are talking about scrub teams, why not use T-Mac's performance against Chicago?? That was the offense's high water mark this year. They havent come close since. Though they have cleared 100 a few times. Thats how I think the offense will look when T-Mac comes back. The offense looked decent against Detroit at the start, but T-Mac went out when he landed weird on that dunk.

Also remember, the team started out the season using the Adelman offense but after the losing streak started and guys were missing wide open looks Rick changed it up to running more familiar sets from the JVG days. Thats why for most of the games leading up to the Denver game the offense looked stagnant.

Fact- When T-mac plays and doesn't leave with an injury, the team is 5 games over .500. That includes wins over SA, Phoenix, Detroit, Utah, Los Angeles and others.

Fact- Before his knee injury the guy was averaging 25/6/5 on 45% shooting (his highest as a Rocket).

Fact- He had more dunks in the first 10 games than all of last season, mostly due to the off ball movement from plays being called by Adelman. After he started using JVG set plays T-Mac was not getting these looks.

Fact- The last 2 games T-Mac didn't get injured in or leave the game, we beat Detroit and had the best offensive output of the season against Chicago.

As you say, let's give the guy a chance seeing as how the team has finally got it rolling.

I know this sounds bad . . but
This team takes on the flavor of the leader

Since T-Mac has gone down . . . THEY EVEN SHOOT FREE THROWS BETTER
It is a mental thing I think

I guess you're an expert in detecting that since you excel in that. Gee whaddyaknow, you are good at something. No wait, you suck at the detecting part.
