you guys are crazy. I favor my right foot, even though I tore my ACL nine years ago and have ran a marathon since. It's just habit, and with better physical therapy than I had, he'll stop that habit.
My friend said she saw Yao running at the track at Lamar High School yesterday. She said he was actually favoring both feet and running on his hands. He was pushing his baby in a stroller with his forehead. But seriously, he was running at Lamar yesterday.
He was sprinting yesterday at Lamar. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=5362603&postcount=142 LOL at the pic yes, but you can believe me.
This. Also, Yao should really think about purchasing new transportation. That Smartcar or Cooper Mini or w/e that is he is standing next to can't be comfortable, not to mention the odd looks.
Impossible. He's in Los Angeles. On a serious note, thanks to the OP for backing up his claims with the pic.
If he's just doing it out of habit i hope the trainers tell him to stop. When you stand on one leg mostly it tightens the gluteus medius on that side and that's the start of one muscle imbalance that'll lead to others, possbily then to injury, and surely will affect sports performance. On the other hand, he could have just ran on it and was told to stay off of for the next hour or two, or however long, as a precaution so they don't over stress it too soon. So if he's going home after this and resting overall, then standing on one leg while pumping gas isn't going to hurt him.
I'm trying to imagine how awesome it would be to just run into an NBA superstar at a gas station. I don't live in a big city, so my chances are pretty slim. The closest I can recall was Ervin Johnson(not to be confused with Magic) at the the Denver airport. Not exactly a "star" even.
