I was pushing for this also. We had an extra roster spot, and I thought we were short handed in the front court. Why not just sign someone just in case we have an injury? Or at the very least, get Onuaku some minutes with the Rockets. Very poor planning in my opinion.
I hope to see Dekker and Harrell Play in Game 6. It cannot be any worse than the 7-player rotation choke job they pulled in Game 5.
I agree with that part for sure. We need a big in the worst way. And we needed him before Nene went down. But I wouldn't call Scola the solution. We need the things he doesn't provide. We've been short in paint defense, rebounding, and playmaking from the start of the season and those deficiencies were never addressed.
I wish we had signed him. We could definitely use Luis now, in my opinion. Not sure I'd call it, "very poor planning," since Nene going down was a surprise, but I would have applauded the signing of a savvy vet like Scola, who is no stranger to high pressure NBA playoff/international championship level competition.
