Journalists try and stand out by writing articles that will create reactions in people, they do this to get people to read their articles and generate a bit of emotion. This is a fine example of that happening.
Didn't go through the trouble of reading all the explanations but sounds like the author meant to say 50 Biggest Underdog Teams to Win a Championship...and not worse...at least that's what I got when read the Giants one.
Man that really pisses me off. How ignorant can someone be?? I mean damn, Jordan played in the 94-95 season!!!
Pretty sure a sports column on a random p*rn magazine available at your local truck stop has more credibility than your average Bleacher Report article.
How bout you move to china. Some of the teams on his list are whack especially the 95 rockets. Beating 4 59+ win teams on the road thats crazy.
LOL, this is how those dumb@$$ journalists make their money.. they post some garbage on a site, people read it, react to it, and comment on it. Anyways, i'm not sure how you can say those are the "worst teams to win championships". They won because they're the best team in their league, regardless of who played or didnt play. They have to go THROUGH the best teams to get to the top. And WITH Michael Jordan, this "YOUNG" Magic team that was mentioned in the Bleacher report, beat the Bulls in 6...this same Magic team... we eventually SWEPT.
The saddest thing about this list is the writer's inherant claim that he is knowledgeable in all of the following: NCAA Basketball, NCAA Football, NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, International Soccer, and MLS 8 effing leagues/sports. Must be the greatest Sports writer of all times.
As far as the '94-95 team, they should be considered one of the BEST teams ever to win a championship. They took out 3 teams in the West who won 59, 60, and 62 games. One of those teams had the MVP, supposedly. Then they SWEPT the team that knocked out Jordan in the Semis. They had two Hall of Fame players and two of the most clutch players in NBA playoff history. It's amazing how nobody remembers that Jordan played AND that he dribbled the ball off his foot to lose the Eastern Semis. Jordan needed a Grant or Rodman to win. He didn't have that guy and there's no guarantee he would've had him if he hadn't retired.
who gives a flying **** it's a senseless moron probably the age of 12 that wrote this article, bleacherreport is run by 12 year olds i think
Why does everyone discount that Jordan was in the league for the second championship? Did MJ forget how to play ball that year? Correct me if Im wrong but didnt he average 27 ppg 6 rebs 5 ast and almost 2 steal in 17 regular season game? Didnt he drop 55 against the Knicks which is ranked number 8 on the Top Ten Jordan Moment? Didnt Jordan and his Bulls Loose to a team that we completely embarrassed in the Finals? Jordans teams never played well against the Rockets! I believe Pippen said all he knew about the West was that "The Rockets whipped our butts every year so I decided to come to Houston"
Remind me... why did MJ retire after '93? Because he lost his desire to play basketball and because of the tragic murder of his father. Are you telling me if a passionless MJ played in '94, the Bulls would have won? These people are idiots. I'm convinced if MJ did not retire, he would have retired anyway after NOT winning in '94, and possibly never make a comeback. How's that for a 'what if.' And where's the 2008-09 Lakers? They should be on that list too. Why? Because IF Yao didn't get injured during the Lakers series, the Rockets would have won that championship "without a doubt." Oh, but then the Rockets would somehow end up on that list again a third time if that had happened. Who even has the nerve to come up with the "50 worst championships?" A championship is a championship. Give these athletes and their fans something to hold on to. Are these 'contributors' so out of material that all they can come up with is this garbage? Seriously, GTFO.
