Ah, interesting. I admit I couldn't remember who was next in line after the VP, I was going to look it up but then my connection conked out for the next 6 hours. :(

    NIMF foreva.

Do you really have such little faith in your own arguments that you always resort to personal attacks like this one and others?

Do you not feel like your arguments and your side of the debate can stand on its own? It has to be "bolstere" by personal attacks, or solely consist of personal attacks?

Moe's responses are great. I'm trying to keep the laughing under control here at work and not appear that I am actually having a good time.

Actually, if cheney dies, there is no automatic succession. IIRC, the president appoints who he wants as VP, subject to confirmation by congress. and yes, Condi would be the likely choice, which is what i assumed you meant. ;)

still don't know what the **** NIMF stand for

I don't know why you bolded 38, but I'll answer that now, maybe others later.

Hell yes he seems like a guy I want to sit down and have a beer with. He loves baseball, I love baseball. We're both Texans. He seems like a badass mofo, imo.

I don't really get how I was "owned" by moes' post. I didn't feel that way when I read it. I just thought it was funny. I posted a satirical list of questions and moes responded in kind. He didn't even represent an opposing POV - he just made a bunch of jokes. Now if somebody really wants to "spank" me (you know you do, gwayne), try actually answering the questions.

couple of good laughs in there. thanks moe.

a good way to diffuse what would become 19 pages long, drawn-out, partisan diatribes is to basically blow up the whole thing in the beginning. well done.

and yeah, nobody was "pwn3d". "pwn3d" would mean he rationally answered the questions and then offered valid counter-points. but maybe that's just *MY* definition of how to successfully win a debate...

In the interest of equal time, from the Huffington Post:

    Questions for Progressives

1 Why isn't Air America successful?

2 Is manmade lightning burning the ozone hole?

3 IF 'dissent is patriotic' then why are you guys being so brutal to Joe Lieberman for dissenting from you on Iraq?

4 If gay marriage is such a slam dunk civil right, why did you sit on your asses while Clinton AND Gore came up with and signed the Defense of Marriage Act?

5 How many plasma TVs have you purchased over the last 5 years of economic depression?

    6 where is Jim Lampley?

7 Is the US attack on terrorism really just an excuse for racial profiling?

8 Would you reject any life-saving drug if it was tested on animals?

9 What's your favorite color of gardener?

10 If we all print out Ellisberg's questions how many trees will that kill?

11 And aren't trees a defense against global warming? And so why are you trying to kill all of us - slowly?

12 If a tornado hit your home would you blame Bush?

13 If your wife blew the pool guy would you blame Bush?

14 would you care what Alec Baldwin has to blog, if he wasn't Alec Baldwin?

15 Like, what if he was Stephen Baldwin?

    16 Or Daniel Baldwin?

17 Do you still think Reagan was wrong on the Soviet Union?

18 While we harp on the ills of Sen. Joseph McCarthy and the harm he did to America, do we practice McCarthyism on those we disagree with politically?

19 Could it be possible that your 'all Republicans are stupid or evil' schtick from bumpersticker to watercooler to cocktail chatter causes [others] to feel very uncomfortable, but they just chalk up your rudeness to a simple mind?

20 do you know how much money Deepak Chopra makes off the gullibility of lonely divorced women? do you pretend to understand what deepak is saying?

21 why is it that Robert Novak aged better than Robert Redford?

22 Can you admit Al Franken isn't that funny? Do you still think Robin Williams is funny? Did you ever think Whoopi Goldberg was?

23 do you think JFK would approve of Michael Moore?

24 do you think RFK would approve of Teddy Kennedy?

25 do you think Teddy Kennedy would approve of reduced fat Pringles?

26 how do you feel when all that effort invested in Plame turned out to be the biggest waste of time ever?

27 can I have Cindy Sheehan's fishing hat?

28 How is the impeachment coming?

29 Would you turn down a trip on a gas-guzzling private jet if it took you to the villa of Gael Garcia Bernal?

30 Do you think manipulating the spelling of words so they imply something sinister suggests a level of intelligence only slightly higher than mental r****dation?

    1. It was a lousy flick.

    2. You can't burn an empty hole.

    3. Who is, "you," and why is Lieberman dissenting with him?

    4. Marriage isn't a basketball, doesn't need defending, and Clinton/Gore were wrong.

    5. I buy LCD's.

    6. Lighting a street.

    7. No, it's an excuse for asking incredibly stupid questions.

    8. Only if it had been tested on George W. Bush.

    9. Chance.

    10. I use recycled paper... and learn to spell, OK?

    11. I use recycled paper.

    12. Yes.

    13. I don't have a pool. She blows me, and does a superb job.

    14. I don't care either way, but I enjoy his films.

    15. Then his name would be Stephen.

    16. Then his name would be Daniel, like that Ellsberg fellow.

    17. What was the question?

    18. No, but some right-wing members of a Rockets BBS practice it often.

    19. A simple mind came up with this question.

    20. I don't know who the person is.

    21. He didn't, and he hasn't.

    22. Robin Williams is funny. Franken and Goldberg try.

    23. JFK would have found him amusing.

    24. Yes.

    25. No, they taste like crap.

    26. It hasn't been a waste of time, and isn't over.

    27. Yes. Please.

    28. Which one?

    29. I would take a trip on a gas-guzzling private jet to the destination of my choice. That wouldn't be it.

    30. The author of these 30 questions suggests a level of intelligence only slightly higher than mental r****dation.

Because it is Just like Faux News except that they are honest and don't make s*** up to bump the ratings.

How exactly do you burn a hole. I understand how to burn a hole IN something, but a hole is the absence of something and I don't think you can burn an absence. If that were possible, I would have figured it out in high school.

Actually, what seems brutal is the beating he is getting from his constituents. He voted against what THEY want and as such, they are voting against him.

I didn't hear much about it at the time. Plus, it was not a constitutional amendment designed to remove rights from a certain group of people in our society.

None. I make about 23% of what I made when Bush took office.

    Better yet, WHO is he?

I would actually feel more comfortable if MORE racial profiling were done WRT terrorism. Having an equal likelihood that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and a 62 year old homemaker from Idaho will get pulled out of line at the airport seems a bit silly to me.

Nope. God said we could eat them and I see testing drugs on them as consuming them.

    My wife.

Why would you print them out if they are on the computer screen? Hard copy is for wimps.

Trees are one defense. The removal of hundreds of billions of tons of pollutants would be more effective and have more impact, but apparently we need to study the problem more to figure that out.

No, but if a tornado hit my home and blocked my basement door with debris, then it was three days before the Federal agency in charge responded to the event as a result of the total lack of experience of the head of that agency, then I might get upset with Bush for appointing someone with no emergency management experience to such an important position.

No, I would never hire someone as stupid as Bush to clean my pool.

I don't give an earthly crap about Alec Baldwin or what he has to say (or blog).

See above under question about Alec Baldwin and then insert the appropriate first name.

When did I think Reagan was wrong about the USSR?

Some people do, yes. Those are the people who are the most vile, obnoxious people that exist today. Instead of debating the substance of a matter, they call names and throw out terms like HUFFINGTOWNED and "case closed" and prefer to shout down political opponents instead of talking like adults.

The only ones I see saying that 'all Republicans are stupid or evil' are the poor me talk show hosts on the right like O'Reilly and Coulter. The liberals I know all have conservative friends who are thinking conservatives and represent the philosophy well.

It seems like the ones painting with the "all" brush are the conservative shout show morons.

    See Alec Baldwin response above.

Stupid question. Lets do a poll of any number of women and see which one would they take to bed. I'll lay 100-1 that the majority will say Redford.

Al Franken is funny, but his humor comes across much better in print.

RW can be funny, but hasn't been as good since "The Fisher King."

Whoopi was funny in the '80s, but not since then.

    Don't know, don't care.

Probably. They both espoused a liberal philosophy, enjoyed a few drinks, and reportedly liked women as well.

    Don't know, don't care.

I can think of at least two bigger "waste of time."

    Ken Starr's debacle.

    The War on Drugs.

You can have Sheehan herself for all I care. She is just one woman with a point to make, she is not the entire anti-war movement.

    Ask me November 8th.

Not as long as some rich a$$hole was paying for the gas instead of me.

No, it suggests a level of intelligence just slightly higher than lying to the public, leaking CIA agents names, and pouring public money into cronies coffers.

Actually I think that Stephen Baldwin is a born-again Christian as of a couple of years ago-- via a nanny as I recall.

I was channel surfing a couple of months ago and came across his face on one of the Christian channels. I listened to his testimony. He has a fairly active ministry. I think he made a couple of gentle cracks about his brothers. It was uplifting.

Just Google it. Here's one link: http://www.pbs.org/wnet/religionandethics/week736/interview1.html
