    Papa John’s is offering a special half-price deal tied to its partnership with the Houston Rockets. Customers can get 50% off their pizza every Wednesday when the Houston Rockets play. This kicks off today with the Rockets vs. Philadelphia 76ers through April 16.
    Head online to papajohns.com and use promo code ROCKETS. This is valid at participating Houston-area Papa John’s.

    Just a theory, but I'm guessing this promo is in direct response to the fact that the "half off Mondays when the Texans win" promo has basically fallen flat on its face this year.

    Yes indeed. I said "pizzas" by habit as I never order anything else from Papa John's. I usually use "Retailmenot" for codes for chain pizza.

    In all fairness, it's not exactly 'half off'.

    It's still a good deal, but the 'half off' is off of the full price pizzas. And since they almost always have a special of some kind going on, it's not as amazing a deal as it seems.

    Still good, yes.

    But like, when they advertise 'Any Large 3-Topping for $10' or something like that, that's a sale, and the regular price would be like $16 on that deal.

    So, your 'half price' on that same pizza would be about $8, when you can pretty much regularly get the same sort of thing for $10 or so.

    So yeah, it's a decent special, but the only people who get it for actual half off would be the bad shoppers who normally pay full price.

    All that said, looks like pizza for dinner tonight! ;)
