What was wrong with Kill Bill 2? i thought it was a great movie. Vanilla Sky was pretty awesome to me too.
I didn't expect much from The Hangover 2 and I was still disappointed. And this is coming from someone who LOVED the 1st one. I started watching the 2nd one, got bored and turned it off, and have since deleted it from my DVR. Ghostbusters 2 wasn't that bad. Not as good as the 1st (obviously) but still lots of good laughs. Both Matrix sequels were AWFUL. Loved the 1st one. Terminator 3 was really bad as well. So was the later one with Christian Bale. Both very disappointing.
The Hangover 2 is tops on my list. There was no way that the sequel could ever live up to the first movie, but I still went into it with high hopes.
Agree with some, not others. Don't get how Indiana Jones is at the top. As soon as I heard they were digging up the corpse of Harrison Ford to do that movie, I knew it'd be bad. That's true for at least a third of this list though -- maybe anticipated by the general public, but I was never really feeling it. Phantom Menace should be #1. Eyes Wide Shut was a good movie, but I was also disappointed when I saw it.
I still think the Godfather 3 gets a bad rap. It only gets compared to 1 & 2 which are all-time great films. I thought it was a very good movie...just not as good as the first 2.
I liked Kill Bill Vol 2 and Prometheus. Other than that, this list is pretty good. The Golden Compass was such a massive let down. Fantastic story, but the film adaptation was ruined from the very beginning. Daniel Craig, Ian McKellen, Eva Green, Nicole Kidman. Great cast, but having Chris Weitz as writer/director was its downfall.
As far as that list goes...who in their right mind thought that most of the movies on that list would ever be good movies. Did anyone really have high expectations of Cat Woman, Shrek the Third, or Speed Racer?
