    7 of the 2003 Rox training camp invitees ended up in China

    Alex Scales played for Shanghai Sharks, was voted to the CBA All-Star Game, and finished the season ranked #2 in points scored.

    Gabe Muoneke played for Beijing Olympian, was honored the Player of the Week once. He was involved in a fight and suspended.

    Jamaal Watkins played for Beijing Ducks, won 3rd place in CBA Slam Dunk contest. He was involved in a fight and suspended.

    Peter Cornell played for Zhejiang Horses, the worst team in the CBA.

    Anthony Pig Miller tried out for Shandong Lions but didn't make it. He later returned to China and played for Heilongjiang in the Division II league (CBL).

    Coincidence?

    What are you saying. Are you saying that China is using these guys to spy on Yao, and playing basketball is their cover story. OMG, what if this was the true reason for Steve visiting China this summer. :eek:

    i never understood why we didnt keep scales.if a player can play he can play.

    I believe Scales played in China before he was in our camp.

    Yes, he did. I believe Yao recommended him to the Sharks after he was cut by the Rockets.
