I use to feel the same way, really rooted for him

but when in NBA he just didn't have the D he like has a slow game on both sides he literally jogs a lot if you pay attention to him,

he has a slow wing game like KD, MELO, PARKER but isn't a scorer to play that way, he will be cut.

Adrien is a good player, but he has shot 2 three pointers in his entire career.

Garcia is a lock, the other guys are toss up. Depending on what position looks weakest come the end of training camp. My bet however is on Ish Smith making it, since our other PG's are either too young or to old, to have as backups on a contending team.

Dorsey is far from being the lock.

Reggie Williams was considered the lock last year before the training camp started.

It really should be 6 guys fighting for 2 spots.

That's the thing, he's really not a good player, he had a decent month while on a team that was actively trying to be the worst team in the NBA, they thought the best way to pull that off was to trade for him. If the NBA thought he was even a halfway decent player he'd have gotten more than the minimum in FA. One isolated month doesn't overshadow an entire career of suck.

I considered Dorsey a lock because he's the only guy on the roster who has played significant minutes at center besides Dwight.

DMO played back up 4-5 last year after Asik pulled his vagina muscle and did a pretty decent job. DMO is the first big man off the bench.

Adrien and Garcia are a lock to make it, but i got a feeling theres a trade coming. Maybe just a small 1.

If Ish Smith gets cut and Nick Johnson spends most of his time in the D-league, then who's the other backup PG ?
I don't think Terry is quick enough to play PG at his age.

Well, Asik missed about 40 games last season and Rockets were doing pretty well in that stretch also.

As much as most people dislike D-Mo (count me in), he is by default the Rocket's backup C at this moment and should get more minutes than anyone else in this current roster.

Hence, that means Dorsey is not guaranteed for a spot yet.

IF (and that's the big IF for the best scenario) everything works out fine, we should expect :

Daniel - take Lin's minutes of last season when he played as a SG + couple of Harden's minutes he played last season, total 16-17 minutes sounds good.

Cannan / Johnson - take Lin's minute when he played as a PG, 14-15 minutes sounds good.

TJ - should play 3-5 more minutes than last season.

D-Mo - take all of Asik's minute plus some of his minutes of last season, 20-22 minutes sounds good.

Dorsey / Adrien - 80% of D-Mo's minutes last season.

Papa - Cassipi's minutes plus some of Parson's minute last season, Ariza should play a bit less than Parson's minutes.

Garcia / Terry - filler & garbage time minutes.

Capela - D-league most of the time.
