I've spent to much time in the GARM arguing with these damn y-less chromosome kids, obviously.

I would say about 50% of children are born without a Y chromosome nowadays, give or take.

im only going to list the movies ive actually seen, so it is entirely possible that i have never seen the 5 truly 'worst' movies. and being in my worst list doesnt mean i didnt like it - just the worst from what is on the list.

and i like braveheart, but its not going to be in my top 5 or even top 10. sorry fatty. :(

    worst:
    1. the english patient - that s*** sucked ass.
    2. million dollar baby - liked it, but not that much.
    3. titanic - 'nuff said
    4. driving miss daisy - not a bad movie, but best pic? ...really?
    5. deer hunter - i expect to be flamed for this, but i really didnt enjoy this movie. its been about 10 years since i saw it, but it had been so hyped to me that my expectations were thru the roof - i remember being bored through alot of this and underwhelmed. maybe it was just a bad night - ill give it another chance someday.

    best:
    1. unforgiven/dances with wolves
    2. godfather/godfather II
    3. rocky
    4. french connection
    5. patton

I'm really surprised that a Houston based message board is so down on Terms of Endearment. Yes it was schmaltzy but c'mon it was filmed in West U!

I don't think Animal Collective sucks. I actually like that track you posted.
They aren't my favsies, but I doubt This Will Destroy You is your favsies either. Art is subjective.

Nope. Just a least favorite among the Best Picture winners I've seen. The only one on my list that I felt was actually a bad movie was The Greatest Show on Earth. All the others are good movies.

I think we can agree that some people can interpret art and creativity better than others.

Man, that sounds way too formal- it almost makes you feel uncomfortable to go to the show.

I hired the lead singer of The Smithereens, Pat DiNizio, for one of those living room shows next month. No web site announcement, no "please be out of the house by 10 PM," just, "Hey, you're invited, we'll supply the food and drinks, no admission charge- concert's free- just help the artist with a purchase of a CD or other merchandise, thanks!!" I guess the way they do these living room concerts for this artist is to have it on a site with all the rules.

the thing is I actually know the dooder who is hosting. He has been instrumental in building my booking agency and has been super cool about giving me guidance. The only reason I posted that link is because I am pretty sure moes has posted links to David Bazan and shown a deep regard to his tunes. I just wanted to score some uber indie cred pointes.

OK, I forgot about one- I will replace Braveheart with Out of Africa- not a bad movie, just not my thing.
