    "LOL."

Why is it that the main argument made by conservatives here is, "Oh, you think you're so right." Another way of saying this is, "So you're good and we're evil, right?" Or the complaint that the board is all lefty. Or the complaint that we're too angry or we're too rude.

But never, never, NEVER a reasonable argument to the contrary.

Where is the conservative argument against national health care reform on this board?

    Nowhere.

Where were the reasonable arguments in defense of Iraq? And why do you guys arguments so often rely on blatant ****ing lies?

You guys lied about Iraq, you lied about Obama (his citizenship, ties to terrorists lol, etc.), and now you're lying about health care.

Maybe we ARE "so right on the issues."

You certainly haven't provided a single argument to counter that idea.

Honestly, the bills (in multiple versions) are so lengthy, so complicated, I doubt that either side knows ALL that is in them. What I would like to know is, who wrote them?

I believe there are 6 total committees (3 in the House, 3 in the Senate) that are involved in drafting the legislation. It would be the members of those committees and their staffers.

Again though if you currently can't afford private insurance you have no choice now. The only health care available to you is the ER or charity clinics. As other posters have noted that means you are depending on the rest of us to cover your costs if you get hurt. So under the current situation you really don't have freedom in your health care but even worse are taking money from the rest of society. That's not freedom.

As far as if you are mandated to pay for insurance I presume you own a car and also that you might own a house. Do you feel your liberty is being robbed that you have to buy car insurance and home insurance?

Finally just some personal advice. If you can afford it you really should get health insurance. For one it will take the burden off of the rest of us paying for it but at the sametime you really don't want to be in the position where if you get hurt or sick you are throwing yourself at the charity of the ER. I'm going to guess you are a young healthy guy but you never know when an accident or illness could happen. Consider that if your house suddenly burns down friends and family might take you in but wouldn't you want insurance there so you can get back on your feet without having to be a burden?
