Sampson is gone. GONE. Therefore nobody cares about defence anymore.

I'm not sure if anybody saw this, but on the PnR, the Rockets would hedge hard with Howard, and Jones (if Howard could not rotate back) would pick up LMA and Dwight switch to Lopez.

Chalk this up to Jones acting like a typical 2nd year player.

 

rockets still doing this....why are we trapping the pick and roll 5 feet behind the 3 point line? batum is out like 30 feet from the basket, gets a screen and we have 2 players stay with batum 5 feet behind the arc while the screener runs free towards the basket.... our pick and roll defense is just awful and has been all series/season. makes no sense.

 

I told people before the regular season ended that t jones's defense is suspect.

 

I don't know why Dwight Howard helps SO MUCH on defense for the wings, especially our defender (bev/lin) is already pretty decently going over the screen.

Jones is just simply too small
