What is going on here? why is everyone so slow to go up the court? they only started the play with less than 10 secs? Lin calling plays and no one seems to be responding... I think Mchale should have called a time out here... <iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/-c9dClaPKgk?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I've actually wondered what would happen if you threw it to Dwight with about 5 seconds on the clock, even his free throws is a better possession than that, and it wastes the clock anyway. their ahck a Dwight extended our lead from 2 to 5, their actual defend the play and watch us throw up awful shots had us score nothing.
man either harden and bev dont know the play or thier are communicatin issues. i have never seen a horns where the to corners whole play is just to stand still, and i have ran horns for years now. disspaointing when u look at the scoreboard. IMO for an effective horns on this team you need a parsons or Casspi on the wings who can create off the dribble incase the play breaks down
if not what was the point for Lin to draw the defender from parsons? should Howard roll to the post after paul came out and defend parsons? can someone explain how the set should be run?
is it possible that harden was dead tired after playing 44 mins? hence the sluggish 4th quarter and waiving of the play?
yep in the beginning you can see assistant coach jump out and yelled, then beverley stop going all in mode and give it to lin. it's a HORNS. both corner guys didnt move, bev and harden. maybe the rookie one is too nervous that he forget everything, and the other one rely too much on his ISO, that he never listen to coach and dont know the play. terrible terrible execution.
Thanks for posting. This must be the only FGA Jeremy had in the 4th and the play where Harden chewed out Jeremy. Don't see why.
My feeling is that Harden has gotten too much power, being the superstar of the team, and feels he doesn't have to listen to McHale, when he tries to call plays. While true he is the superstar, he's got to learn he can't do it all on his own and how many missed iso 3 balls does he have to miss, down the stretch, before he realises that they have to try something else? I think Rockets needs someone with sufficient clout to sit him down and set some boundaries for him but I doubt that person is McHale, because he honestly looks to scared of upsetting Harden to do it.
yeah this was the one and only shot Jeremy shot in 4th quarter, and the one Harden chewed him out for. More importantly, the team chemistry sucks right now, too much ego, no ball movement. You can't win on talent along, just look at the LAKERS from last year.
It would be easier to believe this was the case if he actually moved on defense. I think the problem is that once you give it to Harden in the 4th, that's the end of the line. It only gets passed out of his hands when there's less than 5 seconds on the play clock.
there are missed good shots and missed bad shots, but calling that a bad shot would be doing it a service. If he'd created space, taken off from 2 feet straight up and missed, you just live with that.
at 0:05, both harden and lin looked like they were asking for the ball. or at least harden looked like he was expecting the ball from bev (hands open to receive) but lin actively asked for it and bev gave it to lin. harden was probably expecting to be the one running the play at that point with lin going to the corner instead of him, and that pissed him off, and he let lin know it at the other end of the court after the lakers turned it over.
