The first regular season game outside the US, in Mexico. And its sunday night football, in the Azteca Stadium.
every NFL team is wearing a green sticker on the back of their helmet this week that says "futbol americano" (I think). talk about shameless pandering.
I don't know whats worse: Being delegated to watch a game between the 49ers and Cardinals, or being delegated to play in Mexico. Ok, I kid. I kid. If the game is sold out, more revenue for the outrageeoouus Americans
Mexico is already in the NFL history The two games with more attendance in the NFL were in Mexico: 1. (1994) Dallas vs Oilers: 112,376 2. (1998) Dallas vs Patriots: 106,424 And today is the first season game outside the US.
Holy crap they had over 103,000 people there. From what I read that's over 60,000 more people than they had at the meeting of the same two teams last year in Arizona.
I think the NFL didn't want to take a home game away from a playoff contender. I doubt that anybody cares that Arizona is losing a home game...
