Hakeem with 49 Pts 25 Reb 6 Blk and that was in the playoffs. Watched this video so many times over the years. Nothing to take away some of the success of today, but I sure miss performances like this by Dream. So glad I got to see Dream as a kid. I feel the identity of Htown ball has always been with a big. That block on 2:26 plus that move against the double team on 3:40 were insane!
This thread should be pinned. Hakeem gave an incredible all round performance in a crucial playoff game, despite the loss. @tinman
that guys a BAD man. he was so quick on defense is a amazing and have never seen such a smooth center with all those moves but the Harden fans will say Hardens effective fg% is higher... miss the Dream. he was really a leader and a Rox legend that knew how to win
The Dream is the best Rocket of all time, but there is no reason to bring up Harden's name. I praise Harden when he plays well, and point out his shortcomings when needed, but I don't diss him.
The mentor and the pupil. Moses was a great champion, Hakeem became a champion by becoming his follower.
even shaq will admit hakeem was better than him... i remember in the 90s i watched the game and i hopped on AOL afterwards. times has changed.
Comparing efg% between eras is pointless with completely different play styles. The best you can do is look at efg% relative to league average at the time and see the percent difference to your current peers.
It's hard not to diss Harden when replying to obsessed Hardenstans who repeatedly state absurd narratives like Harden is a greater offensive player than the likes of Jordan or Kobe. When his ultra fans keep on spamming that it's hard not to be a antagonistic towards them.
And Dream has become a mentor for the league. There's a reason why legends like LeBron and Kobe not to mention several others have asked for Dreams leadership.
