I think Chuck would do a pretty good job of making it tough for him.

We are gonna get destroyed tomorrow if we paly all small ball against the Pels, if Porzongss has camped out in the paint all night and we more aggressive he could have dropped 50 last night. The small ball idea isn’t going to work against teams with length and athleticism like the Pels.

Yeah but having the deadly shooting combo of Curry and Thomson as your back court and having a very versatile Green who can pass, play D, hit 3s, disrupt s your big man sure helped a lot that was a perfect chemistry deal there. We don’t have deadly shooting in Harden and Russ and “others”, and PJ is no DG as much as I love the dude he just isn’t close to DG as far as versatility

There is no hope for the Rockets this year, they have two stat chasing players that play no defense, harden has gone back to his old ways without Chris Paul's influence in that area, they would have lost the Dallas game without Luka at home, if Harden wasn't hot to close out the game, too small margin for error because they don't play defense.

Then there is the contract situation, the Gordon extension is beyond horrible, 3 chuckers at the same position, there simply is not enough shots for Gordon even if he was worth his contract, you spend that money on long defensive minded wings who can hit threes, and finally Capela has gone Hollywood because he got paid, and he was only a role player to begin with, the last thing he needed was to start enjoying the nightlife.

No picks, no developmental players, terrible GM, and terrible owner - embrace the sucking - Harden has already started his decline. They are so poorly run as an organization - they cannot even tank as an option because they have no picks.

    Here is the thing.
    When refs swallow their whistles
And allow defenses to hack the drivers
Which leads to misses/turnovers/players left on the ground while the other team races the other way
All the space in the world means nothing.

That's all right, MDA will be fired by summer, Morey will be fired this summer, and players will be demanding trades - let the show begin - the rockets players don't even believe this system works.

First off, our 3 point shooters are not in the same league as Curry And Thompson and Durant. Secondly, they had several centers...Bogut, Looney, Green, Etc. They beat us up in the final game last year with Looney, Green, and another tall player getting rebound after rebound in the last quarter against our small ball.

That was spot on. We lose last night with their MVP on the floor. Defense will ALWAYS be bad with small ball because it leaves the lane wide open for easy layups/baskets. Any 10 year old knows that (and even the two announcers who brought it up at least ten times last night) but surprisingly our 4 million dollar coach hasn’t figured it out.

Looney, Green, Bell are not GSW's death lineup that was responsible for utterly dominating the league for half decade. This was evident when Raptors kicked their ace in finals.

Of course Rockets do not have same shooters, but shorter players typically are the better shooters in NBA. Rockets pushed GSW further than any other team during their reign of dominance with Harden and friends.

No one is saying that Rockets need personnel upgrade, but right now the best players are 6'6 and under. Smallball is just playing your best players in a scheme that will maximize their success.

MDA is always pushing the envelope while CF is always crying about doing it the tried and failed way. Always the followers, never the leaders.

    Sad.

Not a Rockets fan I take it. Way too much glee otherwise.
