This movie was funny...Not wedding crashers funny, but still funny nonetheless...It had a lot of great one liner's and great scenes...I'd see it again... "You know how I know your gay...You listen to coldplay"...
did anybody get the feeling during the movie that perhaps the writer was not too keen on women...almost as though the writer was being played out by the main character. i've never before heard a woman say to her daughter: "keep it in your pants"...that is usually a saying which would be directed at a male, since a male actually has something there to keep in his pants... - how's a woman supposed to let it get out of her pants? it was a funny movie - but it had a couple weird things like that which puzzled me.
The girl who plays the daughter has her own site, an e blogger style kind of thing. Here's her latest post:
that hurts a little bit because i'm listening to coldplay, RIGHT NOW. not that there's anything wrong with that.
http://www.katdennings.com/ Wow, she listens to Jeff Buckley and recommends people read the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. She's kind of funny, here she is venting at people thinking she's a goth chick After her room was flooded, I can relate, this happened to me at my old house. And finally here's a demented and disturbing short story she wrote with a mini rant before it where she says FU to people who say she can't talk about politics on her own website:
I thought this movie was one of the funniest things I've ever seen and even though it went for some cheap laughs at times I thought it was mostly well thought out and intelligent, and the ending was inspired. It maybe lagged for a few minutes in places, but I think it was a really great comedy film.
Saw this movie today. I didn't expect too much going in, but I thought it was hilarious. The ending almost made me tear up from laughing so hard.
Just got back from it a little while ago. Freakin HI-LARIOUS! One of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. I though Wedding Crashers was very funny and this blows that away.
Saw this one saturday night, laughed my ass off. I have not seen Wedding Crashers yet so I can't compare, but this one is in my top ten comedies.
