Totally wrong of the district to suspend him. However, the teacher's aide had little recourse. She can't talk to the kid and tell him what he did is wrong. Why? Because the first question out of his mouth will be "Why is it wrong?" Which invites a discussion of sexuality between the aide and a 4-year-old. Which results in the aide getting sued by the parents. Because people sue first and think later. Our litigious society has conditioned school districts to take a "worst-case-scenario" approach to almost everything now. So 4-year-olds get suspended for hugging. Somewhat absurd, but as a soon-to-be teacher, I can kinda see their side.
Give him the chair! The kid clearly knew what he was doing and the teacher's aide should be commended for making such a big deal of this and embarrassing the young boy's family. Job well done.......
I should've taken more advantage of the opportunities as a 4 year old. I got more play back then than I do now.
They need to castrate this 4 yr old ASAP before any more harm is done. This evil little one is clearly a rapist in the making.
Aide's fault. HISD trains aides and assistants to hug the kids sideways to prevent this. swear to G. She should have known better than to give the boy the opportunity.
It'll be about 10 years till one of his teacher's hears about what happened when he was 4....and has a teacher student relationship. We'll see him in the news again.
Kind of see their side? A four year old! Most four year olds aren't even self-aware enough to close the door when the go in the bathroom. If he really did this he was mimicing something he'd seen elsewhere -- but there is no way the school district was anywhere near correct here.
It's not an embarassment to the family of the boy, or the boy. It's an embarassment to Waco. Honestly I still can't believe how ridiculous this is. Part of me isn't surprised. Weird **** happens in Waco all the time. When the poor PRE-KINDERGARDNER doesn't even know what he DID to merit in school-suspension, it's just wrong. Maybe she had big boobs. Maybe they were like a pillow. I can just see the little kid alternating sides of his head against her chest. I highly doubt he motorboated. This should have never been a big deal.
