    Western Conference
    Team GB
    1. * San Antonio --
    2. * Phoenix 0.5
    3. * Seattle 3.0
    4. Sacramento 4.0
    5. Dallas 5.0
    6. LA Lakers 9.5
    7. Memphis 9.5
    8. Houston 10.0
    9. Minnesota 10.5
    10. LA Clippers 13.5
    11. Denver 15.5
    12. Portland 16.0
    13. Utah 19.0
    14. Golden State 20.5
    15. New Orleans 25.0
    * = Division Leader

    Suns, Spurs, Seattle, Sac and Dallas are first tier teams and are locks for the playoffs;

    Rockets, LAL, Grizzles and Minny are second tier teams and one of them will miss the playoffs. I will say the lakers;

    LAC, Denver and Portland are 3rd tier teams and only have remote chance to make the POs;

    Utah, GS and NO are bottom dwellers and are lottery bound. 4th tier teams.

    Out of the first tier teams, Seattle is about the break down. They are 6-4 in the last 10 games and lost again tonight.

    Among the 2rd tier teams, the Rockets has the best chance of leap frog into the first tier. The team is 8-2 in the last 10 outings, tied for the best record in the last 10 games in the league.

    It's not totally out of question that the Rockets grab the #5 seed when all is said and done. If we face the Queens in the playoffs, we have a good chance of beating them in 7. Against Dallas, we lose in 6.

    if we make to the playoff by half game.. or one game, tmac's performanc against SA will be even more memorable.

    Sorry I did not count tonight's game. After tonight, assuming that LAL loses in 90 min, we are #6 seed in the West.

    I say the Lakers are gonna miss the playoffs as well... just looked at their schedule... their late March to April is ridiculous.

    Where did you get that standing? The current standing is this:

    Phoenix 0.0
    San Antonio 0.0
    Seattle 3.5
    Sacramento 4.0
    Dallas 4.5
    L.A. Lakers 9.5
    Houston 9.5
    Minnesota 10.0
    Memphis 10.0

    If the Lakers get beat by the Clippers tonight, we will move up to the 6th seed.

    I too think the Lakers is not going to the playoffs this year, and depends on how Minnesota doing after the all-star break, we could end up 6th or 7th seed and facing either Dallas or Sacramento in the playoffs (I think Seattle going to cool off eventually). Which is good for us since both team don't play any defense, so we have a good chance to advance to the secound round. I think this will be a great season for Yao and T-Mac to gain playoffs experiences.

    i think utah with kirilenko now healthy may able to climb back to the playoffs picture whereas seatle is about to go cold!!!
    Hey, we still havent played seatle so far, maybe we can go 4-0 or 3-1 against them and knock them off the playoffs!!!!

    Best case scenario will be both lakers and jazz miss the playoffs :D

    Yeah thats a very scary schedule. I think the grizzlies also have a very difficult April ahead of them.

    I would love for the Rockets to get that 6th seed and then play the Sonics in the first round. I am still not convinced that they are indeed an elite team in the west. I would much rather play them then Dallas or Sacramento.

    I really think Seattle is going to slide!

    The 4 games we have against them are going to be HUGE! If we win all 4 we've gotta be a chance of catching them and sliding up to 5th spot!

    As long as San Antonio and Dallas stay ahead of us, we can't be any higher than 5th. With the 3 divisions now, the 3 division winners are assured of 1-3 ranking in the first round. So to get to number 4, we'll have to pass Dallas too.
