The goal is making "the rapture" happen. The reformation of Israel fulfills many of the preconditions. The Christians will be sucked up to heaven, and the Jews and Muslims will kill each other resulting in “The Tribulation”, followed by “The Battle of Armageddon”. Making these things happen excites Hagee. So to your point, this particular form of Christian Zionism involves supporting the Jews as a means to an end, maneuvering them to do something not in their best interests (start a war to the death with Islam because it fulfills prophecy) and then letting them get the shaft once the Christians have gotten what they want. You can see some of this in the infamous Hagee comments that Hitler was fulfilling God’s will. He views the Holocaust as a positive development as it created Israel, which speeds along the goal of Rapture/Tribulation/Armageddon. You have been known to perform extraordinary contortions in defense of known racists. So it's not out of character to see you referring to Hagee as "peculiar" rather than unconscionable. To be clear, I don't think you have a racist bone in your body (unlike some here). I just think you have a weird habit of giving these guys a pass.
Those 7-YO posts are only legendary in your mind. I'm not sure why you are characterizing Hagee as a racist; I wonder how many Blacks, Hispanics, Arabs and other minorities worship in his 12 or 17 or 19,000 member church? His "war" is a religious one not a racial one. I'm not enlisted. I'm no fan of Hagee but unlike a lot of you here, I'm willing to be fair to him. I see no racism. I see no murderous intent. He doesn't incite individuals to kill-- unlike the fellow in the video. He sees a political solution that he think lines up with his peculiar/unconscionable world view. Some who don't have that particular worldview would opt for the same political solution. There is no reason for name-calling by anyone.
