How about a 4 way where (if scoot drops to 3) between the blazers magic and nets

Outgoing 4, 20, Nets assets, and Sengun TyTy
    Incoming Scoot, Claxton, Suggs

    lol

I'm ok moving back over using #4. I like some of the guys later in the draft.

    So let's say it's 4/20 for 6/11....

Let's say you then move 6 for #13 to Toronto for a future #1 with light or no protections 3 years from now.

Then take 2 guys for role players at 11 and 13. That could be a rim running big man who can defend, a pure PG project, or maybe a limited 3/D that might develop into a Bridges or Anunoby that makes Martin expendable rather than extending him...

I wouldn't be opposed to a wing who can just shoot but may be limited on the defensive end or playmaking for now... again, as a role player to develop...

    Trade 4 and 20 for 6, 11, and 37.

Then deal 37 and Kenyon Martin to Heat for #18.

    Now you are 6, 11, and 18:

    Bilal Coulibaly
    Dereck Lively
    Amari Bailey

    Sign Harden, Grant Williams...

Those guys can be backups for 2 or 3 years and all have high potential...

Gives us insurance if guys don't develop the next ones are behind them.

I don’t think we are going to pick anymore young guys because we already have enough. We are only going to add vets this offseason.

We need one more top 5 player in the draft, we have Green, Sengun, Smith and Eason. If we draft Scoot or Amen, we would have chosen 3 of the top 10 best players in the last 3 draft.

Scoot or Amen, Green and Sengun are the top 3 draft prospects who could be on our team.

Fleshing out a previous mock offseason:
    Trades
Houston out: pick #4 and Josh Christopher
Houston in: picks #6, #11 and Tre Jones (sign and traded)

SA out: Keldon Johnson and Tre Jones (sign and traded)
SA in: pick #4 and Jonathan Isaac

Orlando out: Jonathan Isaac and picks #6 & #11
Orlando in: Keldon Johnson and Josh Chrisropher

    Houston out: KJ Martin
Houston in: TJ McConnell and pick #26

Indiana out: TJ McConnell and picks #26
    Indiana in: KJ Martin
    Draft
    6: Jarace Walker
    11: Bilal Coulibaly
    20: Nick Smith
    26: James Nnaji

    Free Agents
Grant Williams, Donte Divincenzo, & Naz Reid

    Roster
    Jones/McConnell/Washington
    Green/DiVincenzo/KPJ
    KPJ/Eason/Williams
    Smith/Walker/Williams
    Sengun/Reid/Smith

    RGV: Coulibaly, Smith and Nnaji

I think this offseason primes the Rockets for substantial improvement next season and beyond. With Udoka in place and with the benefit of a true PG (to go along with KPJ playing a point forward type roll with more of a scoring focus) this team ought to improve by double digit wins all the while getting the kids as much PT as they can handle. Also, RGV turns into a true farm team with multiple guys waiting their chance to get called up as the guys in front of them get too expensive or just lose their spot.

Don't know how realistic all the trades are but I like the picks!
Love the potential of Coulibaly, Nick Smith was the #1 rated High School prospect his senior year and I've wanted us to grab a 2nd rd. pick for Nnaji.
6'10'' with a 7'5'' wingspan and a great shot blocker and rim runner already!
Have no problem with him at #26.

My only change is I would take Anthony Black at #6!

    I like this.
I have advocated trading #4 for #6 and #11 for awhile but I see people saying 4 AND 20 for 6 and 11 but to me that's an overpay and undervaluing the #4 pick.

This is better value getting a 2nd thrown in.

The thinking is a competitive team capped out would favor a cheap rotation player like Martin and a non guaranteed 2nd round contract for a guaranteed one in the late first.

Why don't we swap picks with Portland, 4-20 for 3-23?

If I were Portland and seriously considering to draft Amen, I would do it in a heartbeat to move up from 23 to 20 if there are not more sweet offers.

I'm sorry, you think Keldon Johnson is worth the 4th pick in the draft?

    Keldon Johnson, 23yo:
    22.0 / 5.0 / 2.9 / 0.7 / 0.2 in 33 mpg, on 55% TS, 1.4 A/TO, -0.9 EPM
17-46 team record when he played
    6'6 in shoes, 6'9 wingspan

    Kevin Porter Jr., 22yo:
    19.2 / 5.3 / 5.7 / 1.4 / 0.3 in 34 mpg, on 57% TS, 1.8 A/TO, +0.6 EPM
18-41 team record when he played
    6'6 in shoes, 6'9 wingspan

... Can we get the #3 pick for KPJ?

You understand that's not the trade, right? The Rockets give up #4 for #6, #11, & a signed Tre Jones. Keldon Johnson goes to Orlando in this scenario for their picks and Jonathan Isaac's non guaranteed deal.

San Antonio is giving up Keldon Johnson (and a S&T of a free agent to a team with $70M in cap space, which is worth essentially nothing) for #4.

    What am I missing?

Orlando is interested picks 3-5 range
If they offer the 6-11 and suggs for 4 and kjm .is that worth it over the 4th pick?

That getting two lottery picks and a 23 year old point guard who would be the best PG on the roster isn't a bad haul for the fourth pick in a 3 player draft?

You realize if one team (San Antonio in this case) is getting the 4th pick in the draft in exchange for a rotation- or low end starter-level forward… your trade is wildly unbalanced?

In this case you have Orlando giving up #6 and #11 for Keldon Johnson. Hence it is wildly unbalanced in favor of San Antonio and against Orlando. That’s the point.

Maybe my first post should read: Can we trade KPJ and Josh Christopher for 6, 11, and Jon Isaac? (It’s a rhetorical question, if I have to spell it out)

I mean, sure, it's important that you get the details of this random, completely unrealistic trade scenario correct right away. Lives are at stake.
