That's a fair point. Definitely a gamble... I also feel KPJ ar 2 will be a better player and could reasonably replace Jalen.
booker (2nd year): 22.1 / 3.2 rb / 3.4 assists / 42.3% fg / 36% 3pt fg green (2nd year): 22.1 / 3.7 rb / 3.7 assists / 42.6% fg / 34% 3pt fg you've seriously written off this dude that just turned 21? lol.

lmao it's a 3 player draft, there's a steep drop at 4. Those teams will take Miller and Scoot or they will trade they're not taking a lesser talent.
I do think something like this is more realistic. I think Portland is keeping Dame so Scoot makes little sense. If they can add 3 rotation pieces and only move back 1 spot I'd do it if them... I'd ask if I'm Portland: Eason Tate #20 Then take a forward @ 4 and you suddenly have some depth there. They have a bad roster outside of Simmons and Dame. I'd move 4 for Simmons if I could. Very underrated scorer and young.
I think they openly discuss things w Lillard and see what he feels prior to the draft. It makes sense for both sides to move on, he will be 33 by the time the season starts and he is not Lebron. I think Lillard has more options as far as potential fit with teams than Harden this off season.
Booker wasn't good yet and may not have gotten so. Just because Booker improved doesn't mean Jalen isn't one of the 80% of other guys who plateau into middling rotation journeymen types..
Anyone saying to trade Green for anything outside of Brown from Boston is a clown trolling. Green isn't going anywhere (unless it’s for a STAR). Deal wit it.
Booker did not come from the G league. My post was about how Jalen has not lived up to what he was perceived to be but is still an NBA caliber player never said I gave up on him, read the post this is in response to, and trading him for another guy in Scoot from the same path at the price of Jalen + 4th pick is too high. Understand the context, i understand some people on here are rabid fans of certain players, but understand when people are being logical about things.
someone explain why we should cash in our future for a play-in tournament appearance? it seems extremely short sighted. I'm just as tired of losing as anyone, but we sacrificed 3 full seasons to have a championship ceiling, not to cash it all out for a borderline playoff team.
I guess that would just depend on the guys you get. If it's 3 new starters then you really have to toss out what has recently happened.
I think y’all are trying to trade the wrong way. Trading back would be easier and more effective long term. #4. #20 with Martin / Tate / Christopher all have value. maybe the lot for #6 & #11. Wallace/Black & Hendricks/Walker or Witmore/Lively & Hood-Schofino any combination of the 7 makes us better.
