Believe me when I say this .....

Workers aren't happy when their rights, bargaining power, safety, and benefits slowly start getting stripped away, especially when their bargaining power diminishes for fear of retaliation. They aren't happy when their working hours increase, safety regs and protections are cut, and their wages stagnate either.

They spoke with their votes and this disagrees with your thoughts on this subject. What they really don't want is their jobs being shipped to Mexico, Canada etc ...

Sorry I'm extremely busy, rushed, and behind on completing some very important tasks. I'll respond to your previous reply to my post when I have time. In the meantime I just want to say that while I vehemently disagree with you and find many of your thoughts on Trump and world affairs to be wildly impractical, I appreciate your willingness to engage and that you keep things civil. (FWIW, most would find my ideas on how to bring back jobs to be equally drastic and impractical.)

I also want to add this to give you and others to something to think about:

Howard Lutnick says he hopes Trump’s tariffs will eliminate China’s ‘army of millions and millions of human beings screwing in little, little screws to make iPhones’ so they can be built in America by robots

    Paolo Confino
Updated Mon, April 7, 2025 at 12:57 PM EDT

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said President Donald Trump’s recently imposed tariffs, which sent the global markets into a tailspin, were necessary to encourage major companies to begin manufacturing their products in the U.S.

Among the products Lutnick hoped would be built in the U.S. are Apple’s iPhones.

“The army of millions and millions of human beings screwing in little, little screws to make iPhones, that kind of thing is going to come to America,” Lutnick

    Link
TLDR: We're being fed a line. These people are grifters, yes men, and idiots. And the jobs of yesterday are not coming back.

They were conned. You seriously think your talking points make up for all the other damage Trump is causing?

Sometimes I wonder if you approve of a Dictatorships/Authoritarian type leader too, or are fine if the country's policies are decided by oligarchs. I bet you don't believe Trump's a pathological liar, con, snake oil salesman, and self-serving grifter either.

I wonder if you even give a rat's ass if the most vulnerable Americans end up struggling to survive, or losing their healthcare, as long as your business stays afloat. That one guy @StupidMoniker said before that he believes that charities and churches are the answer, and not the government, but that hasn't worked for the millions who already can't afford healthcare, treatment, and medicine. Even Trump's pick to lead his White House Faith Office is a millionaire televangelist who has was promoted cash-for-blessings schemes. That's not surprising though to be honest

We are only as strong as our weakest link, and the guy in charge could care less about the most vulnerable. He can do as he pleases, and make a ton of money doing it. He couldn't even be bothered to attend the dignified transfer of fallen soldiers, and he doesn't even mention all the people who died in floods and tornadoes this week. He's steered clear of any of the disaster areas so far. He's a pathetic excuse for a human being, and those who voted for him should have known better.

I think both the Dems and Republicans have had decades to cut the waste fraud and abuse. They've also had decades to fix the trade imbalances. On these 2 things they chose to pass the buck and Trump isn't going to pass the buck. Times are changing.

I thought Obamacare was the be all end all when it came to providing quality healthcare for all, cutting cost and allowing people to keep their doctors. (Pathological lying)

Speaking of Trump, I dont know the man so I dont know where his heart is and neither do you. What I do know from experience is he acts like a real estate developer. Everything is always the biggest and best in their minds.

I would say the Dems have been the worst thing to ever happen to the middle class. They setup corps so they could ship good jobs overseas, although that's both a GOP/Dem globalist thing. I'm just happy that Trump's ging to bring back good jobs from overseas, I really dont care what his motivations are. BTW, How has he made the poor poorer in 45 days? I also believe in the chain is only as strong as its weakest link theory.

Truth is there's going to be poor in any society and the poor have it better in this country than the poor have it in any other country in the world.

All I need to know is that Trump's a pathological liar, con, snake oil salesman, and self-serving grifter. He is going to screw Democracy and spitting on the most vulnerable and poor, while cashing in on bribes and quid pro quo as long as the Republicans keep enabling his madness and corruption.

No, he is a pathological liar, and that is just a fact. There is no denying it unless you are completely delusional. He can't be trusted. Another fact.

He's doing exactly what he said he was going to do on the campaign trail, unlike most politicians. This isn't a trait of a pathological liar. I'm not the one being delusional here. I'm just glad he's keeping his word and securing the border/going to make us the leader in energy production, lower taxes across the board for everybody. (It's not just the rich that are going to get a tax break) etc... Certainly not the actions of a pathological liar.

Its just funny how delusional these cultists truly are. Trump promised to "end inflation" on day 1 which now the fed is predicting the opposite will happen. Trump promised to be pro worker but installed a Amazon lobbyist as head of the NLRB. We can go on and on about his failed promises

The teamsters just released a statement bashing Trump for his pick for the NLRB as it's a union busting lawyer

All these cultists do is lie 24/7. Its so tiresome and boring

"Lower taxes for everyone" lol the tax cuts the house Republicans just passed are predominantly favored towards the top 10%. It cuts Medicaid to the tune of 700 billion while giving 70% of the tax cuts to the top 10%

Energy production is lower today than when Trump left office

This dude thinks he's smart but he just spams disinformation all day and yall let him get away with it

I want all the people who want to pay for other people's healthcare to pay for other people's healthcare. I want all the people who don't want to pay for other people's healthcare not to be forced to pay for other people's healthcare. I am not in favor or robbing people to support the causes I believe in. If you want to pay for other people's healthcare, there is nothing stopping you from doing so. You can even band together with millions of other people and do it collectively. That is never an acceptable answer to Democrats though, because what you really want is to force people who don't want to pay for other people to do it anyway. I would much prefer being able to decide for myself.

It's less about someone else "maintaining things for the rich" than it is you "cutting things for the poor"

You just showed it right above, can't lie about it anymore.

But why should we pay for tax subsidies for billionaires? Why are we giving tens of billions to Elon musk and other billionaires? Why did we bail out the billionaires and hedge funds when they crashed the system in 2022?

What annoys me about libertarians is they pretend that we don't bailout the elites at every moment. The entire financial system is structured to help the elite in this country.

The rich are already paying over 50% of the taxes. So I'll have to know more about this sliding scale.

Do you have health insurance? If so you’re already paying for other people’s healthcare. I don’t want shareholders to control the benefits/treatments I get from my insurance. Let’s maybe let my doctors decide my course of treatment.
