"Just because he coached in a Finals he doesn't know what he is doing compared to Avery"

    Geeee, he is confused....

"Of course picks Dallas saying Stackhouse will step up and they will still win the series easily and go to the Finals."

Man, i wonder what is his definition of 'easily'.

Stack is a heckuva finisher. Altho I thought it was a good deal by Michael, as did most people at the time, but - Joe D 'punked' MJ on that one, big time.

I am more positive about Stack than you are, but the series revolves around Dirk and TMac.

He was a good finisher in UNC and early in his career but has declined a lot from that time. He looks more for coming around picks for shots or just fade away jumpers...doesn't create like he used to...more of a spot up shooter in my opinion now.

It's not correct pre-game analysis until 3/4 of those hacks pick the mavs to win. I was getting worried about all that positive energy. Victory is now ensured.

Ya know... I hope the Rockets marketing people are taking note of the many different sources that are saying that Houston has a bad audience because the seats aren't filled.

That's a really strong negative against the Rockets marketing and I hope they make changes to encourage better attendance.

Exactly. I said it before Games 1 and 2 and I'll say it again today. The Rockets are at their best when they're underdogs.

What can they do? The org wants to get as much as they can for the tickets, they mostly go to corporate bigwigs who dole them out to current or potential clients who may or may give a crap about the game.

Maybe there is something thay can do, but it seems to me the problem is the city, not marketing.

Wow, someone outside of Houston actually reads the Chronicle? I'll be damned.

as an outsider (I live in NYC) the lack of noise/enthusiasm at the games at the Toyota Center has been the biggest disappointment. New arena, T-Mac and Yao. What else is needed?

Didn't you get the memo. Outside analysts don't actually study or even watch our games. They use generally accepted beliefs (i.e. JVG likes to slow it down, T-Mac is a ballhog) along with reading the local paper as their sole source of research.

Man, when we win the championship I'm gonna be so pissed that we lost the panel vote on Around the Horn.
